Go Mel!!!!!! I succumbed to white chocolate :o where I would normally finish the half block though I had 3 pieces..... Gah.
Hello everyone!
I am going well today, and yesterday was a fairly good day too. I walked for an hour yeaterday, and today DH and I took the kids to the footy oval with a ball, boomerang and their bikes. I pushed DS2 in the pram on the grass for a while and also ran around like a crazy woman with the big kids. It was really lovely was to exercise and I need to do it more. The kids said two things that hit a chord with me today, DS1 said on the way hoem 'I really tired mummy' I said 'Ok we'll go home now' DS 'and watch tv and lay down like always' :( and then when we got home, I asked DD what her favourite part of today was and she said going to the park and then 'You ran around, we made you run and chase us! But I'm too fast 'cause you're fat'. I was letting them run faster and saying 'you're too fast, I'm tired!', but she was obviously convinced otherwise. Out of the mouths of babes comes truth. But, well...ouch, that really hurts. I know she's only little and doens't understand that much of it all, but it was a slap in the face.
Food wise, I'm going well, though I am struggling to actually have the 2000cal I'm supposed to for a BFing mumma. And I can't seem to eat enough protien either, which I know is important in weight loss to feel fuller and have more sustained energy. Can anyone give me some yummy protien things to eat?? Besides eggs. Not a huge fan of eggs. Unless it's in a recipe.
Ok, gotta go baby's awake.
They are tough aren't they? But they do make the legs strong, which in turn will make everyday life that little bit easier! Hey, would you mind sharing with me that San Choy Bow Recipe pretty please? I remember eating it years ago at a restraunt and loved it - and I've never had it since!
SB - I've had a few shocker weigh in's too - so I know your pain. I know the kick in the guts you are feeling. You've got 2 options. Dwell on it and let it get the better of you; Or use it as fuel to fire your next few workouts. I reckon you'll take the 2nd option. Hang in there gorgeous, try not to let it get the better of you. Chances are it is fluid and should be easily lost.
Mel - well done hun. I'm glad you've resisted temptation. That can be a big thing to conquer. Have you done any activity / execise ;)?
Tinsel - I'm glad u like the motto - I'd type it in big bold lettering and whack it on your fridge or wherever you'll see it.
Livvy - great to get positive comments like that isn't it? I'm sure you'll just keep getting them now!
3LM - sorry, i only just realised your old username! I thought you were a newbie! *Smack Leesa!*. I'm a fan of dry roasted almonds. 15 almonds = 115 calories ;). They are my 'snack'.
AFM - I've reached my final, ultimate goal - and still playing around with getting maintenence mode right. This day, 2 years ago - I weighed 92 kilos (was 39+3 with DS). That's a bit of a 'wowser'. Add me on FB to see those pics of the weight loss journey if you wish (PM me and I'll give you details). I'm going back to work for one whole week next week for a course - and I have stacks of pre reading to do. An exam on day 1 and on the final day....So I'm no longer keen on the course lol, but once its done its done, IYKWIM. So I'll try to get on when I can ;). But I promise I'll be reading and **watching you all** hehehe!
Managed 15 minutes on bike tonight! I was so unmotivated to do it tonight (so tired), but I did it! Feeling better for it too :).
Thanks everyone
I did kinda wallow a little... i felt a bit like "All this hard word for crud all" (replce crud with another wird :( ).. but i picked my game up (thank god there was no bad food in the house!!!) hopped on the bike and this morning i have lost 500 grams again!! So only 500 to go to get back to where i was!! I have already done 20 minutes in the bike and a few squat jumpy thingys, some sits ups and all before breakie!!!
Speaking of breakie.. i havent been having my cereal coz i think the whole grains are playing with my hands- they have come up in all bumps and lumps since i started eating it (and the multigrain bread too) so that may have had something to do with my gain too, coz i stopped eating it on saturday and went back to my two bits of white toast with peanut butter. I am going to have th ecereal this morning.. but question.. if i get one of those protein shakes, can i that instead of breakie?? Its really hard when i cant have a healthy breakie!!!
Good on you Mrs NB for resisting the jelly beans!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Sterla.. 15 mins is a great effort!!!! Well done!!!
livvy.. YAY someone noticed for you!!!!!!!!! Woo HOO!!!!!!
beckoes.. your in box is full babe... i cant reply to your pm!! I did do measurements last week, i wasnt going to do them again until the end of the 6 week challange, but i will keep that in mind!!
Time for some breakie!!! Thanks everyone for the support!!!
So over this computer. It just lost my post.
Sterla well done on doing your exercise when you didn't want to. I felt exactly the same so I ate 5lollies, 3 kingstons and some chocolate moose. Every bite I knew I shouldn't and it still didn't stop me.
SB you sound so much more positive and motivated today. Yeah. Your doing so well.
3LM things sound like there going along great in your place also. As for protein I don't like eggs either and get most of my protein from meat. I force myself to have meat every day although frankly I could go without. My cereal also says its high in protein. I think chicken is a good low fat protein source (if eaten without the skin and fatty bits removed) Fish is also good. I think your milk, cheese etc is a good protein source as well as for calcium.
Leesa that is fantastic your back to where you want to be weight wise. Hugest CONGRATULATIONS.
Well woe is me. Feeling very unmotivated and sad and like I can't keep going on this journey today. I'm not giving up but I'm going to have to try something different as my current low sugar, low carbs isn't working. Yes its helping me to loose weight if I stick to it but its also making me blow out at night on anything sweet. I've also been spending about 1.5hrs a day doing low cardio exercise and the kids and the house work is seriously neglected. I can't continue to do that when I return to work either. I'm also basically completely dairy free except about 1/2cup skim milk a day so thats making things tricky. On the good note DD has stopped having the runs and been excoriated, less windy and so much more settled and her vomiting isn't as bad so the dairy free has really helped. Oh this sucks. I'm on track for my goals I just don't think I am doing it right to stay motivated and to continue to loose the weight. Mmmm right now I feel like dropping my goals and just aiming to maintain my BMI at around 24 which is only a few kilos away.
seconded beckoes. starbright hun, if it's just one day out of many then don't let it get you down, our bodies naturally fluctuate in weight (why i refuse to stand on the scales more than once a week) and you know even just by drinking water before hopping on the scales you can gain weight. don't let it discourage you, don't lose focus, you're doing so well!
mildez - hun. give yourself a hug. you know that housework (esp if vigorous) can count as a workout. and when you go back to work you can just go for a walk on your lunch break, take the stairs instead of the elevator, maybe join a gym or yoga class if that works for you (instead of lunchtime walk). or even just walk some or all of the way to work in the morning. 2 hours a days is all you really need to lose weight by walking. and hey, your BMI is just about in the healthy range anyhow, so you're doing great! are you quite a lot taller than me? am only 170-171cm so my BMI is still in the 26s.. :S
getting there though! went shopping for a new pair of jeans today, wait for it... 14! have gone down from 16, bypassed 15 and gone straight into a 14! and they were easy to get on, so i could even maybe try on the 13! OMG! right. off to do intervals, maybe some pilates and then bed! YAYAYAYAYAYAY!
Thanks everyone!!
Yeah it could have been fluid.. i am trying to follow leesa's good thinking of me an di am fuelling it for even more loss!!! I really shouldnt be too upset, if i hadnt have looked everyday- at the end of the week i still would have had a loss, just not as big!! I think i just got a bit shirty coz the last time i put effort in to lose weight i just kept yo-yoing back and forth and never felt like i was getting anywhere!! i think MAYBE i might start doing it weekly or every other day... maybe!!
lol On a TMI note, i did do a big poo today and i realised i hadnt actually done one for a few days lol, so it will be interesting tomorrow to see if i "lost a few kilo's" with that!! lol
beckoes.. The cereal is "great start" its a woolies brand. I only have abit left in the box so i will finish it and see how i go. I hope its not that thats triggering my hands this week, coz its really yummy!!!
Bloody kids.. DS was up til 10 tonight, i was so close to being asleep, but i had a plan to do the wii when he went to sleep (dd was great- she crashed at 8:30!!) by 10 i was ovder it, but i made myself get on that bike for half an hour!!!!!! And i came up with a little motto!!
I cant lose it if I dont do it!!!!!
I was telling myself that at 10 mins, then at 15 then at 20 then at 25.. every time i thought that'll do..... i told myself that its never gonna happen if i dont do the bloody hard work to make it happen!!!!
mildez.. I am having trouble finding that "balance" too, considering i am adding an hour to two hours of excercise to my day, something has to give, and so far its been the house work or playing with the kids!! Or like tonight i am up til 11, still have to have a shower and this is my sleep time!!! Its hard, you need to find the groove that works for you and your family!!
livvy!!! WWOOOOOOHHOOOOOOO on size 14 jeans!!!!!! That is sooooo exciting!!!! I am stoked for you!!!! I bought heaps of trackie pant type shorts last summer in size 14, i put them on now and they are more like tights they are that tight on me.. i hope by this summer they will be too big!!!! :-)
ok.. off to shower and crawl into bed!!!
Hi to everyone out there!!! Keep up the excercise and keep away from the bad food!!!!! xoxoxoxox
Just a very quick one from me. Weighin today and I am down 1.2kilos for the week. I would be pleased but I weighed myself Saturday and I've actually put on weight from Sat. I bummed out Sunday onwards. Of to drop kids to preschool, school and BBL. After I've done a healthy shop. I'm going back to eating my Special K even if its not the best option as since I run out of that thats when I've been making bad choices and I think its because I am craving the sugar I haven't been having since the new breakfast is low in sugar.
Livvy great news on the size14jeans. I just got into them this week also. Its a great feeling isn't it? Can't wait to get into a 12 now although I think that will take me to the end of the year. Had to lol at you saying your only 170-171 like your saying your short or something hehe. Thats tall for a lady or certainly alot taller then average. I'm 178cm. The Dr did it and he got 181cm but I'm not that tall. My BMI is still hovering at 25. something. Wish it would get to 24. something.
BBL for more persies after I've stocked my fridge with yummy food.
Got back down to 82.7 this morning!!!! Thats the extra i lost and put back on gone AND and extra 100 grams!!!! OK, so no more weighing til monday now for me i think!!! I would cry if they went up again!!!! Bring on that bike!!!!! :-)
I had a half good day, lol. I went for a huge walk, about 1hr 15mins with DH and I pushed the pram too. I did cave and end up eating too much in the evening though. Nothing 'naughty' like chocolate, but just too much food. I didn't need it but I was starving. AF is due so I'm craving sweets, plus all this exercise is making me hungry! But I'm not going to worry about it and I will just keep on keeping on!
sTUPID Computer just lost my post again.
3LM well done on your walk pushing the pram. I'm the same with having half a good day and half a bad day. Problem is its always the last half of the day I am bad.
SB yeah on the loss and a little extra woohoo.
Not happy with this computer so I'm of to the 2nd hand shop see if they have a decent exercise bike (I doubt it)
Mildez - GL with the bike shopping and yay for your loss and the size 14 jeans! You'll be that 24 something BMI before you know it :)
3LM - that's great walking with DS & love your "keeping on keeping on!"
SB - woo hoo for the loss with a bit "extra". Gains do your head in (well they do my head in) so I think you're going great! Love your new motto too! Oh and can you do porridge for brekkie? Would that work? Cheap & so good for you.
Beckoes, Tinsel, Tanstar, Leesa - hope you're all having a good week.
AFM going ok. DD's sleep has gone to hell in a handbasket since starting FDC 2 weeks ago... omg I notice the difference when I'm tired. I just want to slack off & eat crap. Plus my parents were visiting, and I always find it harder to keep my routine with visitors. So saying, I was better than usual & just said to my mum, I really wanna go for a run, can you watch the kids? So that was great.
I also have such admiration for you mummies doing it with night-feeding little bubbas. I tried to start at 4mths, fell off the wagon & finally made in here when she was 6 months (she's 10 months now). Still getting heaps of comments now & bought a few celebration tops and yet another bra. Also did a 10kg loss celebration on FB, that was fun :D
S'one said about it being hard to keep up the time along with everything else. I totally agree. I've found if I can incorporate as much of my activity into my daily life with the kids as possible, that helps .You can do squats between swing pushes, and/ or a makeshift boxing routine... push whining toddler... squat... punch punch... repeat ad infinitum! It only looks a bit odd ;) But if you can make it a way of life, you'll be more likely to keep it up. And honestly we SHOULD be active in our lives... not just as a short-term weight loss effort then back to the couch. My house has looked like a bombsite a lot of the time because I'm prioritising ME, MY HEALTH, MY BODY... but I found I have more & more energy and it starts to settle down & improve.
hi girls
i'm not having too bad a day. ended up sleeping in today and then was in a mad rush to get to where i had to be so i skipped breakfast. such a bad move! ended up scoffing down a vegemite scroll from the bakery at 9am. oh well! could have been worse.
belfie- i really struggle when i'm tired too.i just want to eat eat eat and forget about exercise.
3lm- wtg on your long walk! that is fantastic
mildez- any luck with the 2nd hand bike?
sb- well done!!!
livvy- congrats on the size 14 jeans. well done!
leesa- you are very motivating for me as i weighed 92kgs at the end of my second pg. it is great to see what you have achieved.
have a great night everyone!
Urgh I'm having such a hard time fitting in exercise. I know its the standard excuse, but with one very clingy baby at the moment, I just can't get anything done during the day, then at night I'm doing all the housework that I couldn't get done during the day! And if I don't get it done, we'll run out of clothes. I swear, the 4th child adds sooo much more washing!!
I thought I might try to do the custom thing that DH set up for me on the wii when he is bathing the kids, usually I'm cleaning up the kitchen and getting their clothes ready, but I could do that this afternoon with DD3 in the carrier (like she is all bloody day unless I'm feeding her!) and 15 minutes is better than nothing yes?
I'm fine on the weekends to do it with DH here to help with the kids, but during the week... I go to bed around 11pm, feed the baby, then she sleeps for a few hours, then wakes up, goes back to sleep, I grab another hours sleep and then she's up for another feed around 5am and then by the time I get her down again (6am) the other kids are awake!!
What I wouldn't give to have a nanny...
Hi all,
Mildez. if I'm going to have a hard time with my eating, then it's in the evening too, particularly if DH isn't home. I just go for it if he's not here, I don't care. I have been really trying to break free of the terrible habbit. But it's so ingrained that it's second nature for me to go straight to the pantry once the kids are in bed. I have gotten myself some knitting needles and wool to try to keep my hands busy and start a new habbit, so that when the kids go to bed, I sit and knit and watch tv, instead of eat and watch tv! Not really working so far, but hey, I'm trying!!
Did you find an exercise bike? I want to get an eliptical thingo, I love those things! I used to always use one at the gym when I had a membership. One day maybe...they're so expensive for something half decent though.
Belfie, I think I am finding the weightloss so hard partly because I just don't get enough sleep. DS2 still feeds between 1-3hrly at night, usually 2hrly on the dot! Plus when DH is on night shifts I have to get up to DS1 who will wake 1-2 times a night, and DD often wakes to go to the toilet as well. On those days, my depression rages and I am tired and feel bad and I'm grumpy and just want to EAT! Mostly junk stuff. But I need to keep on trying and not get hung up if I have a terrible day. I need to just accept it, I know why it happens, and then tomorrow, try again. Not just throw all of my effort out the window.
A 10kg loss, wow!! Such a great milestone! I can't wait til I can say that! You're going great!! This is such a tough battle.
Ginger, it never helps when you feel a little behind the 8 ball all day!
I am doing well today, kind of. Just trying to sort out my dinner. I was going to make some spaghetti with beef mince and a jar of bolegnaise sauce. I usually make my own sauce, but don't have much of the ingredients I need here today. So a jar it is! I will be having a chicken breast with mine though and DH and the kids can have the mince! I need to up my protien intake ALOT, I'm doing terribly with Calorie King, not eating enough kj's or protien, but too much fat and carbs (no wonder I have gotten fat!!). I've got to try to sort out the right balance, I say as I sit here and eat a tin of tuna and a green tea for a snack...with a tin of baked beans for dessert (mmm, yum...not) if I'm hungry after dinner! LOL, a protien packed afternoon. Other than that, I'm going well, exercise I did some running around with the kids and vacced my whole house, which takes me at least 30mins to do! Plus the 4 loads of washing I put out and am about to bring in! I might try to get in some wii'ing later too, though I will have to set it up, and I'm not sure if we have batteries...
Hope everyone's day has been a successful one :D
ETA: Mel, you're going well babe. Just take baby steps. If eating healthily is all you can manage for a day, hell even for a week or month, then it's better than eating sh#t and getting fatter. Exercising on the weekends is also better than what you did before too right? Don't beat yourself up if you can't do the 'reccommended' stuff. That stuff is reccommended for people without kids!! 'Specially 4, 4 and under.
Mrs NB.. I envy you getting ANYTHING done with a bub so young as well as three other chickens!!! My house was a shambles the first few days i started!! And yes 15 minutes is better than nothing!! Try not to put too much pressure on yourself!! Maybe for you to start with its food.. (which you are doing great at!!) and then as you get more time you can encorporate the excercise!
belfie.. not sure about the porridge. I have never been a big porridge eater, and if I did eat it in the past, I would load it up with sugar for taste.. so im not sure. Its worth a try I guess!!!
Good on your mum for watching the kids while you went for a run!! Thats great!!!
Mildez... Woo hoo for the loss and a big  coz i know how it feels to know it was more!!! Maybe its the same thing as me *which i dont know what it was, but hey* and it will be gone again soon!!!
Ginger... Yay for the sleep in!!! I think a vegemite scroll was ok.. there are lots more naughty things you could have had!! :)
3LM... Yay on the big walk!!! Its gotta do more to be pushing a pram too right!!! I have lazy days too- i find if i dont get right into it and start doing something (this morning it was wood) then i end up having a fairly lazy day. I know what its like at night though too.. fo rme it was me special time, a few bits of chocolate, bikkies or cake (whatever we had) and a hit cuppa tea after the kids had gone to bed!! Now my special time is riding the bike!! lol Its just not the same!!!
Well the tiler finished the bathroom today.. so i could do some dancing!! I am really liking the cardio boxing routines!! The actual dancing routines i get all confused with what my feet are meant to be doing and i just fluff around!! lol But i am getting the boxing routines down pat now!! It feels good to be learning something as well as getting better at it!! Best birthday pressie i could have asked for!! (even though i didnt open it for almost 8 months!! lol) I also did a wii "jog" while i watched some telly :) It felt a bit weird!! lol
DH was sooooo supportive and helpful with my weight loss regime this week that he went easy on the wood chopping, so yesterday and today i had to chop some wood and carry it over to the house!! Gotta love that support :p But it was good actually- i dont mind chopping the wood, it takes me a lot longer to do it than he does though!!
Well kiddies want some attention!! Better think about some dinner!
Bye for now!!!'xoxoxox
mel- i think you are doing soooo well with 4 kids. honestly, i have trouble coping with 2 so i really admire that you are even having a crack at losing weight and not just eating and getting fatter! you are v inspiring. if you can do it, so can i !
3lm- i love carbs and fat too. i'm really not a big protein eater- i've been trying to have oats for breakfast though and yoghurt for an arvo snack as i think these both have protein? i'm not too sure, i'm new to this weight loss thing! LOL
sb- chopping wood is super hard work! well done!
hey there ladies!
sorry i have had to scroll through all these posts (so *so* many when you haven't looked for 24 hours lol!) so i can't remember who said what... but will try!
mel (MrsNB right?) - with 4 kids.. wow am impressed that you're facing this at all. esp as one is still only little. my (one) bub got to 17months before i took myself in hand... and the fact that you have resisted jelly beans on top of that lol! you are amazing! well done hun! don't beat yourself up, just remember that you've got so much other stuff to do (and with BFing you're burning extra cals by about 200-300 per day, the same as a good hour's walk at least!).
starbright - hun, it might be the fruits and stuff (preservatives etc) in your cereal. maybe, since you're not a fan of porridge without sugar, try making up beckoes' mixture, so then you get the yummyness but you also get to control what is going in it.
3LM - what about skipping the pasta for your own plate? what i do is i'll cook all the parts of the meal for everyone (so tonight we had rice, stir fry (well steamed with soy) veges, and scrambled egg) and i'll have the protein part (egg) and the veges and skip the carbs (rice). generally i just give myself an extra bit of the veges for where carbs would usually be so i don't go hungry. i feel just as satisfied and with no guilt! :D
ginger - lol, vegemite scroll is surely no worse than some vegemite and cheese on toast! all good hun, just maybe don't make it a habit lol! ;)
belfie - well done on enlisting your mum to help out! i have my nan staying and so have no bedroom, as i usually do my last thing before bed workout in there so as not to disturb anyone (well more for me to not be seen by anyone lol!). so am being a bit slack...
did go for a big walk today though! went out for 1.5hours with bub in the pram to the supermarket and back as had to get cream for the (quite frankly amazing) sponge cake i made today. i also oversaw the cutting and eating of said cake and did not taste one tiny piece! not one! so proud! apparently was luscious, so am very proud! :)
have a great evening and day tomorrow all!
Hello ladies, so many new posts! Too many to individually keep up with, but well done to all of you for your determination and loses!
I hopped on the scales a day early this week and suprise, suprise the magic 76 number. 76.5kg to be exact, so 7kg in total since the 10th June! Yipee! And I've been really, really bad this week, tooooo much sugar.
It's back to the hard slog from Monday and back to cycle 1 till I lose those last few kgs!
Just wanted to pop in and say a massive WOOHOO to Starbright! Well done on the loss hun!!!! :D!
And Ausgirl, well done to you too hun - that's a great weight loss considering the short time span!!!
Livvy - great restraint hun, I'm making DS' 'family' b'day cake tomorrow, and then on Saturday night we'll have the 'real' b'day at his party.....I hope I can exercise as much restraint as you did hun.
Mel - ANY exercise is better than nil. So if you can only do the wii, then do it :)!
Hiya Mildez, 3LM, belfie, ginger, beckoes and anyone I've accidentally forgotten! It's getting late lol!
Keep up the motivation and determination...Stay with the fight!
HI all....really wanted to do personals but dd1 is terrorising dh who is trying to get some more sleep as he isnt feeling very well so its very rushed.
yay to all the new bikes, great losses...and re-losses ;), size 14 s and motivation!! Boo to the non sleeping and velcro babies, hope things improve quick!!
AFM....diets going good guns...although i did enjoy a caramello koala the other day...but only a baby one :) my scales have officially died...unless i suddenly put on 10kgs in a week...order so fancy electric ones which should be here next week :) measured today though....lost another couple of cms ! so i know im on the right track. BBS
Holy cow - I need to stay home from work to keep up here! Will see how I go catching up - sorry I miss anyone!
Mildez -hooray on the loss hun and I hear you on the night time cravings. Could you get some things like Jarrah chocolattes, WW choc chip cookies, Diet choc mousses etc. to fill the cravings - I need chocolate every night and am finding it hard to resist but if I sip on a nice warm choccie drink it feels like I am having something sweet and dulls the cravings a bit. It is really hard.
SB- Great news on the loss hun  I agree that weekly weigh ins are the way to go so although I sometimes jump on mid week out of curiosity I don't let it impact me because I know it can fluctuate so much based on different factors.
Livvy - that is an awesome walk hun! I am planning on doing an hour or so today with the pram with a shop run inbetween! Hoping the rain holds off in Melbourne!!
Ausgirl - You go girl! Awesome loss darls!
beckoes - I think a little treat is ok, we are human after all - my key is to stop with ONE!
Mel - You are doing so well hun. I think if you start with making kick bum ;) healthy food with your TMX and just integrate healthy eating then the rest will follow. I know for us as the weather gets better around here it is much easier to exercise, as soon as the sun is out we are outside all day every day, at the beach, at the park etc.... bring on Spring I say. Nothing like getting out in 4 degree weather for a walk  keep it up hun you will see a difference just with changing diet. xoxox
Leesa - You are amazing -w ell done on reaching your goal hun!!
Hello to Bel and anyone else I have managed to miss!!
AFM - work for 2 days - succumbed to a wee bit of cake on the Wed ( to celebrate my birthday - how could I say no?!) and then last night my IL's bought us all Thai for dinner and cake - I had a sliver and tried to have soup and just beef salad and a bit of chicken with rice but I know it wasn't great so we will see how I go with weigh in this week - not holding my breath although today I am down another 200 grams so who knows. I can't exercise on the days I work ( well I could technically but I have zero energy once kids are in bed and am usually working anyway). Off for a big walk after kinder drop off today and I don't think I will be sitting down until dinner time as usual because this house is a bomb site- that must count surely?! I literally don't sit down all day - I even eat my lunch standing up most days!!
Leesa
Ausgirl thats fantastic to see the magic 76 number. I'm chasing 77 at the moment lol then 76 I guess. It is hard to keep up in here now there are so many of us.
3LM Yeap thr sponge would have been devoured in my joint by me also.
SB I chop the wood in our house also. Its great exercise except sometimes it hurts my neck/shoulder. I like chopping wood except when you get one of those super hard blocks that is literally impossible to split.
Tanstar happy birthday for the other day. Definately not an excuse to eat some of your own birthday cake. Thats a goos idea getting some WW hot choc. I actually looked at it when I was shopping yesterday and didn't get it as I usually will drink more then one if I have it in the house. I love it so thought I better leave it. Its definately worth a try but to help with this night craving I've been getting.
beckoes lol at the velcro babies comments. There are SOOOO many of us with bubs around the same age. I'm pretty luck my bub is only a velcro bub at certain times of the day. Still waiting for the princess to wake up. I've hit the jack pot with her sleep (10pm-430am, 5-8, feast and still sleeping) Hope it lasts.
Livvy well done on resisting your yummy baking. Your way better then me.
MNB a nanny would be awesome. I would prefer a house cleaner. Wish I had one. I'd clean before they arrived so my house would be double clean.
I had a shocker night. Up for hours with horrendous cramps. I ate 1 piece of pizza (which I didn't even enjoy) I'm sure thats what did it to me. Still feel like I have gastro but I haven't spewed or you know what. I am wishing it on me to get rid of the crap I ate lol but nope I just got the pain and nothing else. Still feel all knotted up and the thought of food at the moment is just a no no. Maybe this will help? Blurr I feel like crapola. Probably from sleep deprivation also. Of to clean.
Hi girls,
beckoes, electric scales are so much better tahn non electric! I spoilt myself with some a few years ago, and got fairly good ones, and it's so much easier! Yay on losing cm's! To me that's got to be better tahn losing kg, because then you're actually physically getting smaller, not just lighter, itms! Although in saying that, I'm yet to measure myself, lol.
Tan, I think being at work has its downfalls too. I was a childcare worker, and there was always something yummy coming into the centre to eat. Plus we had a cook who made the meals and the kids also got dessert every day too! It's a wonder I wasn't the size of a whale when I was working!
Mildez, I hope your tummy gets better soon, nothing worse than having cramps and not being able to do anything about it!
I think today will be a long day for me...*yawn* we've had a terrible few nights with last night taking the cake, but I think DS2 has a tooth!!! I just felt a little sharp bit in his top gum...God I hope it stays through the gum. I can't do another night like last night. We were up every hour or less. And we had an hour or screaming like I'm pulling his fingers off, twice. And I now have a bitten nipple too...I'm going to be a zombie today. I'm already sitting here yawning! But being so tired is going to make eating well tough for me. And I'm not even going to put the pressure of trying to exercise onto myself! I need to go down to the shop to get a few things and the junk aisle will be calling me. I know it. The kids will also want a little something, which we usually get them, like a milky way or something. But I know a milky way will not satisfy me, nothing short of a chocolate transfusion will help me today. I don't want to go, but have to!
Ok, gotta go, kids are screaming the house down and DH is off to work. Ahh, this day will be a loooong one.
hey all!
thank you for the congratulations! went and bought my new jeans today - Calvin Klein Bootcut "Original" in a dark denim with brown stitching. AND i got the 13s! tried them on and they were just as flattering over my saddle-bags (the girl in the shop commented how we women have such terrible names for parts of our bodies... but she was a twiglet!) and not too loose at the waist! yay me!
leesa - good luck with the cakes baking vs eating lol, be strong!
tanstar - happy birthday hun! also i hope you enjoyed your walk! today i walked from home to uni (about an hour, up a massive hill lol), and then into town but caught a bus home otherwise would have been late as shopping took longer than expected...
beckoes - woohoo! well done on the loss! go you babe! hope your DH feels better soon
mildez - hope you feel better soon too, that sounds really not cool. maybe try ginger beer or a tsp of baking soda in water - both are natural anti-nausea remedies.
3LM - hope you managed to get through the supermarket without visiting the naughty aisles... i know i struggled the first time after i started this journey.
ausgirl - well done hun! 7kg is HUGE! you're doing so well! keep it up! :D
hi hi hi to everyone else! have a fab day! :D
