Dh is going to work out a program for me to do - he's lost his weight (42kg) and is now building muscle. He gets his info from a guy called Tom Venuto (sp?) apparently he's a bit of a guru in the muscle world.
I really want to read Amber's ebook but just don't have any spare cash at the moment.
Anything you want. She's pretty big on not restricting any specific macros or types of food - whatever makes you feel good. Removing guilt about eating junk food is a big thing she supports too. I suffer huge guilt from eating junk food - I hide wrappers and never tell dh just how much I have eaten, like its a big dirty secret. So her philosophy is removing those feelings associated with eating, and to eat things that make you feel good, that you like and to exercise in ways that makes you happy.
I agree with the understanding behind eating high calorie. Like the "eat fat lose fat" stuff too. We eat very high calorie (I guess- I don't get into counting calories) because we eat high fat.
I don't like Matt Stone since he is very degrading of children with autism and wrote a nonsense blog bashing GAPS which clearly showed how little he actually knows about GAPS (like, that it's low carb). I can't respect someone who is so poorly researched and poorly spoken. BUT I do still agree with eating plenty to boost your health.
I think the key is making time to excercise.
I make time to make the bed, make the dinner, make the lunches, hell, I even make time to have a glass of wine
But exercise somehow always comes in last on my to do list.
Happy to do it, if I have the time.
For me, a big part of making this all work will be organising my day, in a diary style format and not taking on anymore than I can fit into a day.
That's where I always fall down (well that, and full strength beer, on a sunny QLD afternoon ).
Gotta get back on the vodka and soda water
