Don't be intimidated by the others DC. I know how intimidating they can be - I get very intimidated by the Meat Heads at times... but I've learnt to focus on what I'm ding and my goals. I take my Ipod or Iphone and crank the volume up... to the point where a guy had to get RIGHT in my face today to get my attention! (He just wanted to know if I minded if he put the fan on! nearly scared the crap outta me! :lol:). Besides, you're not there for them; you're there for you.

So super happy i get weighed on a Wednesday when i got to p/t and i have lost 2.1kg this week.
The extra session must be helping and i have been trying my best with eating.
Had a great day and my trainer even commented how much i had improved, im 4 weeks in now so hopefully i can stay motivated as i was struggling last week.
Well done Abb! When you're struggling with motivation - remind yourself of your achievements! Think of the weight loss - think of how much you've achieved and improved! You can do it!

I joined the gym last week & i've been to 1 Zumba class, I'm hoping to try yoga & combat as well.
I'm off to the gym again tomorrow & i might even try the yoga class if i get there in time :)

Hi to everyone else! Wow how our humble motivation group is growing! :)
Just have a quick question for those of you who go to the gym regularly, what is your routine for it and have you seen results from doing it?
Im thinking about joining a gym but because of limited creche times and life I wont always be able to do classes and thought I could just utilise treadmills and cycles etc. I just have no idea if thats even useful for exercising. I dont really need to lose weigh just tone up.

Freya, I am on a weightloss thing but I am also time restricted. I go in, I hit the treadmill, then the xtrainer, then the bike or back to the treadmill depending on crowds. When I'm doing weights, I hit the treadmill to warm up (only safe way for ME to warm up) then hit the weights. You could try a circuit type program where you do quick reps and there is no rest between. This might mean you utilise something like a cable machine which can be used for a load of different exercises. You'd do one exercise then move it to do the next in a circuit type arrangement. Heart rate is up and the weights will help tone. I'd recommend seeing a trainer to help maximise your time.

A question for you fitness people - what is the best piece of home gym equipment? Bike, treadmill, elliptical trainer, step thingys, hand weights... ??
you know Netts, I think it depends on what you want to achieve... For a long time, I'd have said my treadmill. Before that, my boxing bag. But I'm about to buy a TRX band and I'd have to say that at the moment. It gets my heart rate up (because it's bloody hard!), gets my core active, works my muscles, has several hundred exercises that can be done on the one thing, I can take it ANYWHERE... I love love love it! I'm feeling things using this (I use one in PT) that I can't feel any other way! But it depends on your goals...

My feet hurt though - I don't know if it's the cheap shoes, or not having worn anything but flate for a darn long time (probably both) but that was the hardest - keeping on my feet.
I would like to add that I am sorry if I am a bit post-selfish I am BB time poor but I will learn to do personals!
Toni - just saw your question about calorie king. As MG said you can upload your own food that isn't on the list. Just grab the box the museli comes in and make a 'custom food'. For meals that I had often I even customised entire meals (as I'm a creature of habit). So in the evening when I was adding my food intake into the diary I'd just have to select 'Breakfast' from the drop down list and whammo - there would be my oatmeal and cup of light milk - automatically uploaded onto the screen. Such a time saver.
If you're after cardio equipment, and I think you've already got a bike? If so I'd go with the cross trainer (aka eliptical trainer). Its soft on the joints and gets the upper and lower body going!
DC - loving the fact you did Body Jam tonight hun. I lurve Body Jam - but I'm just another biased instructor here ;) Easy and fun way to burn about 200 - 400 calories!

I am so sore today! I:redface: *cough* may have over done it yesterday. I *cough* may have pushed a little hard. I'll be doing another stretch session today. I have DD home sick again and DH has meetings all day so I may not be able to get to the gym :( I guess, considering my soreness, that's probably not a BAD thing...But I WANT to go! So I'll stretch at home, do some core work, have a crack at the push up challenge for FCS...
