Hello ladies,
I am just wondering to know how much you weigh. Since having my baby, I've become a little obsessed with weight. I am 58kgs now. I am around 165 or 162cms. I hope you ladies can feel comfortable in sharing your weight.

I'm 165cm and at my highest wt I was 86kg, now down to 80kg. I'm comfortable under 70kg. Would love to weigh 60kg, but have not been that wt since I was at high school.
i'm about 19kg over the maximum good weight for my height (173cm) and slowly trying to get back there - I'm currently 89kg. As MG said your weight for height is great please don't stress about it. I have been battling with my weight though since my first son was born - I just love food too much and its my excuse to sit down and do nothing for a few minutes.

I'm the same height as you, and about 15kg over your weight - I've been told by many gyms & doctors that for my body type, I shouldn't go below around 65kg.
I think it's a lot healthier to work off your BMI fwiw, as the BMI range is very generous. I agree with MG, don't stress about your weight, you're a mum now and your body changes a fair bit after having a bubba!
Your doing great if you are that height and weight.
Remember that your body changes shape after having a baby, so thats why you may feel different towards how you look.
To answer your q, im 161cm and currently wiegh 68kg, I need to get back down to between 56 -58kg to be pre preg size and what I am most comfortable at.
I'd work off BMI rather than comparing yourself to others. You're BMI is perfect (should be between 20-25). I am currently at the max healthy weight for my height so am trying to get back down to about a BMI 22.
I am not having body image problems or anything like that. Actually, I never have. I am just interested to know where everyone is with their weight because I have seen a few ladies their tricker displays how much weight they want to lose and how much they have lost.I understand and can sympathise with ladies who have weight problems after pregnancy but not other younger girls.

Your statement "I understand and can sympathise with ladies who have weight problems after pregnancy but not other younger girls." comes across as very judgemental and is not likely to illict any responses from members... nor is it encouraging to those trying to lose weight.
Body Image issues are not exclusive to post pregnancy and nor does having had a baby make it any better or worse to have those issues (or extra weight). There are valid medical conditions which predispose people to easy weight gain or make it difficult to lose weight.
How much weight an individual carries can be a very sensitive issue and should be treated as such.

Girl22 Do you realise that conditions such as anorexia and bulimia that are prevalent in young women are considered mental illnesses? You also insinuated that childless people should also be skinny and have nothing to blame. Your comments IMO are completely inappropriate and disrespectful. You should feel blessed that you are still within your normal weight range post-children and not judge anyone who is or isn't, REGARDLESS of whether or not they have children.
Perhaps we should give the OP a chance to explain herself, before we jump to any conclusions about what she meant.![]()
I have to agree with Cricket.
I'm wondering if the statement was worded a bit incorrectly and what Girl22 actually meant was that she can understand what it's like to have a few issues with weight after pregnancy because she has been there, done that, but can't understand what it's like to struggle with weight in general because she hasn't had to before. Does that make sense??![]()
Girl22 - I would follow Leasha's advice and look at your BMI rather than comparing. I have 6 sisters and 5 of us pretty much look the same weight and can fit the same size clothes but our actual weights range between 50 and 60 kg.
Just a quick comment about BMIs.
The Body Mass Index was developed by insurance companies, is generally skewed to classing lower than normal weight as 'healthy' weight and only takes into account weight vs height. It doesn't take into account things like muscle, fat percentage, bone density etc. So you can be in a normal BMI range and still be unhealthy with it, or you can be in the 'overweight' catergory and be fit as a horse.
Worrying about weight seems to be our gender's national past-time, so I understand that completely! But BMIs should not be the be-all-and-end-all of what is considered healthy, IMO.
Exactly Sushee. Professional athletes are considered obese using the BMI as an assessment tool.
Girl22 - I am wondering what the purpose of the OP was considering you are well within the normal weight ranges? Simple curiosity is not considering the position of those who are willing to disclose.
