Yay got in a DVD tonight, just. But I doubt Im going to be able to get up in the morning to run now.
    Still, smashed out 555calories.

And on that, Im a bit confuzzled. I thought as I lose weight and exercise, Id be burning less calories each eorkout, but Im burning more doing the same DVD each time? How does that work?
Pandora, maybe ur pushing urself that xtra bit each time so raising ur heart rate to burn more

    Hey Niadalla,

I am still deciding on whether or not to do another round, only b/c of the cost and I have copies all of round 2, so I can re-follow that. I think it is an excellent program & really gets you thinking about how you got to where you are with weight gain/bad eating habits/lack of exercise or whatever it is that is holding you back

    Pick me, pick me!
I am doing round 3. I have not done it before. I had almost 30kilos to loose but I've been on my weight loss journey for 3months now and already lost a good amount. I'm really looking forward to starting with the preseason coming up very soon. A little nervous about how difficult it might be with my family and getting the time/energy for all the exercise that might be involved and then worried I'll pay the money and fall of the wagon etc. But despite all this I'm really excited about it and can't wait to go shopping for clothes at the end of it. I'll need all the help I can get.

A knee injury and zero family support have made round 2 really hard. I will be going off my crunch time books and recipes/nutrition plans from round 2. I can't afford round three when I can't commit to it because DH eats all my food and replaces it with crap

That's such a shame Pandora. My husband is NOT supportive of my diet efforts what so ever but I know he wont eat my healthy food nore the kids so that helps me. However I've needed to learn very strict self control as DH tries to supply me with pizza, hot chips, KFC, icecream and chocolate. Grrr to our men.

:-( Pandora I'm sorry to hear you have no support.

Mildez - Good on you for commencing your weight loss journey prior - it will help out. The issue with weighing up time to fit in exercise - Michelle tackles this in her program. GL

Oh sorry for the lack of support ladies
My husband is doing it with me. I've told him he has to otherwise I WILL fail (and he wants to lose a few kgs anyway).

I have a fair amount more than 30kgs to lose, but I figure if I can get through 1 round, then it will encourage me to continue. I want a way of eating that will be a change for life. The exercise I've got totally under control and I probably nearly do what is required each week (netball game and training, strength training, tennis and personal training) and it's the diet that is what is holding my weight up.

Mildez, I'm also super worried about paying the money and falling off the wagon and not getting back on... but it's a risk I have to take. It's what always happens with every other eating plan/diet I've started. If this fails... it will be time for me to look at surgical options and that scares the pants off me.
I'm going to buy her cookbook tonight and I'll probably wait until the preseason to start so I've got a definitive start and end date which might help me a little.

Niadalla I'm the opposite. For me the exercise is where I fail. I recently brought an exercise bike which I force myself to use daily. I think it has really helped me loose the last 5kilos I have. I have also got myself a set of weighed skipping rope and small weights to use with the DVD 30day shred (which I am really yet to do) I'm currently making recipee's out of the crunch time cook book and been inspired that way. I brought the cook book from Big W and it was cheap compared to online. I'll be doing 95% of my exercise inside as its almost impossible to get out of the house with my 4yr old. Much easier with my baby. Thats so wonderful you have your DH for support on this. My DH would spew if he knew how much it was going to cost me. I dont think its expensive but we have different views on that subject. If it motivates me to loose even 5kilos then I'll be happy. I'm getting to the stage in my journey where weight loss is going to slow down and I need to amp it up if I am going to shift it. I still have 15 to go to be where I want but I'm just working on another 10 at this stage.

Next week I am going to try that porriage breakfast. I've already tried the stir fry (with beef not kangaroo) and the roast beef.

I'm heading to Big W tonight to grab to 2 pack crunch time book and cookbook. Can't wait to have a read and see what it's all about.

I'm popping onto the 12WBT facebook page and feeling inspired every day. I can't wait for pre season!

Ok Ladies - honestly how doable is this with a family and a food budget? I am tempted, as I keep on falling of the weight-loss wagon and need some support/encouragement/kick up the bum. I just don't want to blow $200.

I would like to know the same thing. We are on a budget and is it going to be pricey to buy all the food etc? I don't have $200 to just throw away but I can't seem to exercise, be tough on myself when it comes to chocolate etc on my own. I need support.

Can someone please tell me exactly what you get for the $200? Recipes, shopping list? Do you get a dvd of the exercises? Do you have to pay for the organised training events? Do you get a cook book etc? WOuld like a run down of how the program works.

Any Sth East Subs Melb ladies joinging phase 3? Maybe we could help each other out.

Another body here thinking of signing up, but wondering about 'real life' testimonials!!! I'm excited but nervous. I have saved $200 and trying to decide whether to buy shoes or a new life. Duh. Sounds so silly when I write it down like that LOL

I have found we have saved money on food. You don't buy unneccesary food and some of the meals are doubled up for another dau/night. We don't buy takeaway now, I cook instead and we rarely eat out but if we do, we eat alot less. Some of the meals I have found are not family friendly, so we bought a low fat cookbook and use some of those recipes instead of Michelle's. You are suppose to stick fully to her meals but I felt it was too difficult with a 4yo - she is not going to sit down to some grilled chicken breast and steamed veg but will sit down to a casserole, for example.

FWIW I loosely followed the 12wbt - I exercised 3-6 times per week - you are suppose to do 6 days per week. I still went our for dinners (she strongly suggests you don't) and like I said earlier, cooked low fat meals that are not on her program. I have lost 9.3 kgs and 31.5cms overall and have dropped a dress size. So, considering I wasn't strict I am happy with that.

I believe the testimonials are real - there are before and after photos that prove it...as well as you measure yourself at the start then every four weeks. Michelle also picks people to win prizes for their weight loss efforts, so you couldn't really lie otherwise you'd look foolish.

The program isn't just about food & exercise but tackles the mind and your mindset. It makes you think about goals (short term and long term) and what has gotten you to where you are today (ie: bad habits, excuses etc...) GL

    You get each week:
Menu plan, shopping list, recipes, exercise plans
Motivational and weekly videos (online) and some live feeds.
Forum/site access which has more recipes and exercise info and links

You don't get the DVDs included but you also don't need to have them.
I bought the 3 pack for $30 something at target because I can only exercise at home.

Whether you save money on food depends on what you ate before. Our shopping budget (food and grocery)is under $100 a week normally so it was significantly more expensive especially when my partner wouldn't eat and of the food and did "normal" shopping on top of what I needed.

Thanks for the feedback I can also only exercise at home, don't think I would grab DVD's. I do have EA active, which when I was doing it, found it really pushed me.
We have been getting too many takeaways lately, so that could go towards any extra food at the supermarket. Have numerous cooks books here covering low carb, low fat etc, so if need be I should be able to find suitable family recipes.

I just found I was quite motivated when I was following TWD for the online trial, so I know that I need that community support and accountability.
