Oh, I am so in! I need motivation coz there's certainly no movitation (ie: sex and shopping!!) in this house Maybe once I start losing a bit!
Measurements, I'm not sure where exactly to measure bust waist hips - maybe I'll go to a chemist weight loss person and she can show me exactly (iykwim) so I can measure myself at home

Gosh, I really should do this. DD1 had the camera and took some photos of me, not very flattering. Don't have scales, but do have the Wii fit, so I have to exercise to get my weight.

geez how bloody depressing. We just took our measurements.

    Darn this extra weight!!!

Can we take measurements of our wrists or something? They are the only skinny part of me, and I'd like to not feel so depressed.

Ok I'm in too... I desperately need people to keep me on track and accountable. Makes me sad I can't do it myself but if I'm going to be healthier and happier I have to do this! Will pm measurements when I can - going to dig up my tape measure.

I am going to also measure my thighs and upper arms just for my own personal record keeping. For me I find them to be a good indicator of weight loss, also I want them to be so much smaller

Astrid - if I took mine i'd probably die of shock. So its best just to let these things stay unknown

Ooooohh....can I join too? I'm on holidays from uni at the moment so instead of running to classes I'm sitting around munching on Chrissy leftovers
I will try and dig up a tape measure and email those results Lucy.
I'm certainly not looking forward to seeing what they are!

I thought I would come in an share my weight loss plan (goals) and rewards, I think for me putting it all out there will help me stay on track.

    1. 4kgs Loss end of Jan(pre-baby weight)- Reward Pedicure
    2. 5kgs loss by beginning April (9kgs total loss)- Reward massage
    3. 10% total body weight loss End April (12 kgs total loss)- Reward New Jeans
4.5kgs loss by 23rd June(DD 3rd Birthday, 17kgs total loss)- Reward New winter boots
    5. 6kgs loss by 25th Sept (4th wedding anni. 23kgs total loss)- Reward Romantic Dinner
    6. 7 kgs loss by 4th Jan 2010 (My 30th Birthday- 30kg total loss)- Reward Shopping holiday Melbourne

For me I think breaking it up into small achievable goals will help, because if I look at the whole big picture it seems to scary and daunting. I have thought about it carefully this time around, and I am hoping that because I have a plan I will be more inclined to stick to it.

ETA- I have figured out that I only have to average 600gm loss per week to achieve my goal- I think that is a reasonable expectation to maintain.

I'm in..... my goal is ultimately to lose cm's and fit in my size 10 pants again! My weight goal is in my sig (54.7kg), but I'm not really sure how that will pan out since I'd like to build muscle.

My eating... I think I'd like to start eating 3 healthy meals a day. For exercise, my goal is to get OUT more (I do a lot of WiiFit-ing, but I'd like to give Jazz and I some fresh air) and do some early morning walking.

I'd like to do this as something for me, lose weight for ME not just Shel, eat healthy for ME not just Jazz (as I'm bfing), being able to fit into my clothes again so I am comfortable. Even though I don't have a lot to lose, I have some bad eating habits and don't take care of myself like I should so I'm hoping doing it with other people will help me change that

Lucy I will try email my measurements to you tomorrow! I still don't have a tape measure, or scales this week (I normally use the ones at gym, but their creche is shut all this week). So if I can't get them in by tomorrow, next week it is!

Seriously fretting about the gains I can feel I've made over the Christmas period! I am hanging out for 5th Jan when the creche reopens... In the meantime I am trying not to gorge myself on everything in sight... i can't even go walking as I would have to drag Aidyn along, and dont have a double pram!

Lucy - A question about weight loss tickers. Do we have to start them from the beginning of this New Years challenge? Or can we start them from when we began our fitness/health kick if it was earlier? Cause I started a few months ago.

Things i am going to do-

-Eat 3 balanced meals a day (no more starving myself til mid afternoon even if it is unintentional) and then binging on anything i can get my hands on
    -Walk my dog daily
-Keep a food diary (yes i know what i eat already but have the tendency to live in denial if i have a food diary i WILL make better choices iykwim)
-Drink a minimum of 2L of water a day.

My 1st Mini goal is to lose 3kg by Jan 24th as my DH is going away on the 8th and this is his return date. I would like to have lost this amount by then and if i succeed i will treat myself to having my hair done the day b4 he comes home to a "new" wife.

I think losing some weight and gaining some fitness will do wonders for me and even for DH. I have next to no sex drive and think its because i don't feel attractive etc. Maybe focusing on me will help out in that dept. I would like my kids to have good example to follow.
