I have done a shake diet before (although not this particular one) and have always lost weight. As soon as the shakes stopped I put it all back on again, such is the way with diets like this. The only way I have lost weight and kept most of it off (a few kilos have crept back on after going from 81kg to 69kg) was by counting calories (which helped me learn about portion sizes and good food choices that wouldn't leave me hungry all day) and exercise. So it depends, do you want to lose weight fast for a particular occasion (like a wedding) or are you trying to make a life change? If it is the latter avoid the shakes and look into making changes to your diet and routine that you can keep for life. A website like myfitnesspal will help you track your food/calorie intake if you don't want to join an organisation like weightwatchers, but whether you track online or with a group the end result should be the same, in that you will be more educated about how to eat the foods you like without compromising your health and your weight.
