Squats and lunges under the bar yesterday and running 5km today = a really sore butt.
I hope it recovers in time for my pump class tomorrow.

Ok so it's been a crap start to thins challenge for me. Have been having trouble but am back on the wagon tomorrow. Hoping it's a nice day so we can go for a walk. If it's not I will try and drag out the pilates DVD I have and do that.

Just a quicky for me, been flat out at home so no perssies from me until maybe tonight... I just wanted to duck in and share my disappointment I know weigh day is tomorrow but I jumped on the scales this morning. I was ovulating yesterday and the day before and I've lost weight enough times to know that during ovulation is when I have a slight gain so I was mentally prepared to not have the best results for the 1st week BUT there was a whopping 700gram gain So upset about it and will really need this thread to keep me going over the next week so that I don't loose motivation. I have eaten pretty well, and managed to go for a swim on Monday. Oh and my boobs were full this morning too as ds's last feed was at 2:30am. Anyway today I am sorting out a pool membership. It shouldn't be as tricky as it is but we are planning on moving if we sell our house and the 2 pools that are closest to us won't refund any part of a season membership if we move so I don't want to pay heaps for a 10-20 visit pass when it will only last for a few weeks and will cost more than a season ticket... Does this all sound like excuses to you? I have booked ds into swimming lessons starting Oct 8th and they let you stay for a swim afterwards so that's pretty cool. Ahhhh I need to loose as much weight as I can before this darn knee opperation in November. The more I think about it the more disruptive it is to 'my' plans, such as loosing weight, looking FAB this summer and gettign pregnant in December not being stuck in a wheel chair for 3 months

OK, I am nearly a week late, but can I join too?
Bub number 3 is now 14 weeks old and the fat suit is just hanging around. I haven't put any on since she was born, but I haven't really lost any either. So I am sitting at 75kg, 12 kg heavier than I was the first half of last year. I got as big with my other pregnancies and lost it all without too much trouble so I just need some inspiration and someone other than DH to cheer me on.
Anyway, I joined the gym a fortnight ago and have been working hard. Pump, Combat and Zumba classes aswell as some running and weights. No change to my weight yet, but I have lost a couple of cms from my waist and hips. My goal is to lose 10kg and to be back into my size 10 wardrobe by the end of this challenge. I will do a proper weigh in and measurements tomorrow morning.

My initial goal is to get back to my pre DD's weight of 63kg pre DD1. But ideally I'd love to crack the big 60 and get to 59. Have never been below 63 since I was pre-pubescent, so would love that.
I am just the same... seem to get stuck at 63kg. I think maybe I would look funny if I was much thinner than that, but would just like to see for myself.

Same, I can't imagine what I'd look like 5kg lighter than 63, but funny lookin or not I really want to see it.

Was anyone else a chubby kid and a fat teenager - even when I'm at my slimmest of that dreaded 63 plateau and in 10's I think I still look like I'm just a 'slimmer version of jiggly/chubby', I really want to get beyond that. I know people who are bigger than me who think they look alright, more like 'a slightly chubbier version of slim', and wonder if it's because they were actually skinny at some point and I wasn't that we have such different outlooks.

Hey Sas, yeah I have always felt that way. I was skinny as a kid but have always felt big since being a teenager. I used to be really slim as I had a super active job, but I still thought I was fat. I am about 10 kgs heavier than the start of last year but I always look the same to me whether I am larger or smaller. So I definitely have skewed perception of how big I am. I can only see it in photos when I look back.

for Cherished. Don't be hard on yourself. So, you gained & you know why & alot of that gain is due to lead up to O & full BBies, so I am guessing your gain would have been alot less than 700g.

Sas, yep same here - I look in the mirror & think I look great then I see a photo and realise how big I really am *sigh*

Thanks Sunny and Rhi, Sunny I'm so sorry you have lost someone hon. I'm feeling a bit better after chatting with dh today and I decided what pool to go to and will do my 1st swimming workout on Friday. I'm also going to buy some new kitchen scales and start counting my calories properly as of tomorrow. The app on my phone is great so it should be easy.... ish lol

Berrme & ZF all I need to know is what your goal is and I'll update it in a new post every Thursday. Other than that just the commitment to the 12 weeks (now 11) and a commitment to support each other in this thread

Sas I was not a chubby kid but I still felt I was overweight even when I wasn't. I too look at some other woman who have my figure and I think they look great yet I'm still not happy with myself. I think it may have something to do with how they carry themselves or dress? I dunno

Sas, I know where you are coming from. I was a size 12 in high school which seemed big compared to other teenage girls at the time, and I do sort of always think of myself as big now even though I having been thinner than that as an adult (except while pregnant and the few months after) and am not big compared to other people. I was a super fit and pretty muscular size 8 -10just before getting pregnant with DD, and I know that I looked great. But I didn't feel particularly thin because I have broad shoulders and big strong legs... I have no chance of being one of those slender people in size 6 jeans because of my shape. I am getting much better at feeling good about my body since having kids, but I still think I need to work some more on accepting the body that I have, and not comparing myself to other people.

Cherished1, try not to worry... hormones and water retention are a total b#tch when it comes to weigh ins! Leave the scales alone for a few days.

Cherished you will be fine sweetie Sorry you are feeling down, especially about your knee. That really sucks. But I know you can get back up and continue on your path. What we do without you anyway?!? It is awesome that you have found a pool you like. And remember we all fluctuate with our cycles. It is so annoying when you want the motivation but I am sure next week you will lose all of that fluid and be on your way properly.

Hmmm.... DH's boss did a big favour for us last week, so today I baked gluten free bickies for her. Ate probably too much of the dough to test the recipe. BUT I did get that walk in, and the rest of the day's eating was stellar. Bike is now set up for me, so will put in some piston-work tomorrow, and swimming on Saturday.

Squats and lunges are a great idea Onyx. DD loves them, but somehow I let them drop out of my routine.

Oh dear, scales were not kind this morning - but still bloated and af has a few more days till she's gone. Hope there's a nice drop once she's left the building.

Hey after a dismal week, I managed to lose 600 gms. So I'm 70.4. I'm happy with that just not my effort. Today is a new start.
