500g loss for me. Am happy with considering my weekend was a nightmare)
Vowing to stay on track for the week and see what I can really lose on a good, focussed week
I think being sick has had a bit to do with it though. But I have significantly changed my eating this week and now think that I have broken some of my bad habits. I am finding it much easier to eat healthy now than I did a week ago and not having to think about it so hard again. I am feeling much more healthy and not icky like I was a week ago. I think part of that is that I have finally gotten over my chest and ear infection (4 weeks later) and I am eating so much better. I think my body has been craving this food and I have been stuffing it with anything and everything since DS2 was born trying to satisfy myself and not really finding it. I did find 10kg though since February doing that so this has been really positive for me. I can't believe how amazing I am feeling after just one week!
Down from 72kg to 69.8kg. My weight starts with a 6, a 6, SIX, I’m in the sixties!!! It’s true! TBH, I think it’s only because DS2 fed aaaaaaaaaall night so my BBs were empty instead of full (he usually sleeps through). But a six is a six and I’ll take it anyway.
Hi guys!
Sounds like there have been some great losses this week. Just me - that is amazing!
I have lost exactly 1kg so am very happy with that, especially as I had one day where I probably ate my bodyweight. Got to the gym late today but got in a 25 min workout. I always find the day that I weigh in to be the hardest as I know it is a whole week until my next one, so it feels good to have started the week off well. I'd like to have more self control than last week. Sunday is our soccer grand final - feeling nervous. I don't think I am going to play next year. I love soccer but I really don't fit into the team - 10 years older than everyone else and they are all high school buddies, and get cranky when I don't play well (which is all the time as I only play for fitness and fun). Will try and get into indoor soccer again I think.
600gm gain here!
Well I knew I had a terrible week food wise, so not too surprised. Hopefully can use this as a good kick in the bum for this week.
Well done to all of you that have had a loss
Morning all
A 500g loss here. After weeks of nothing happening on the scales, its a start.
This week Im gonna keep more fruit in the house, and do more walks- without taking my purse!
Wow, way to go JM & Epacris!! Fantastic work ladies, very inspirational
Not so for me though unfortunately. After little Miss Belley had a wonder week resulting in no naps and not getting half a minute to myself, I did practically no exercise. Combine that with a trip away for a 21st and Father's Day, and I had a pretty useless week. So.... today the scales say 78. A 600g gain!! Grr. Cannot believe there's a flippin 8 there.
But, the wonder week is over, happy Belley is back and napping, so exercise here we come Gonna take some inspiration from you guys and hope to make up for it next week.
DT, where did you get your Shape Ups from? Do you reckon they work? I've been considering getting some for when I go on walks, but do you just wear them all day for regular stuff too?
For the gainers, I sympathise. I put on 1kg, freaked out when I weighed myself on Monday, threw myself back on the wagon and have lost 800 grams of it in 3 days. I have been using the calorie king site, doing the C25K runs (well, I did it yesterday) and moving heaps more.
We bought Shape ups online. Everybody says they are really ugly- I managed to get the all black ones and I dont think they look ugly.
You should get a dvd with them telling you how to use them- because they have the round sole its abit different to walk and I had sore feet for a few days as they got use to being more flexible. I wore them on alternating days to start with and now can wear them everywhere (I had to buy a size smaller then normal so mine rub) but otherwise they are so comfy and I do reckon they help with posture- something we all need after having a baby. Definatly recommend them
Checking in......not happy but not surprised.
I've put on 1.2kg since I last weighed. Since Ramadan ended a week ago and I didn't go to the gym for the last fortnight and then made some crappy food choices as well it's not surprising.
As soon as I got back in the gym I increased my weights too because I wanted some fast results so I have probably gained a bit in muscle in the last 10 days or so.
Hopefully after a couple of weeks I'll see some more losses although TBH I'm not really all that fussed about the numbers on the scales - I'm more about clothes sizes. So I need to keep on working out and eating well and I'll get there in the end.
There was a man in the gym fixing something when I got there today so I tried the Zumba class. It was easier than I expected but since I have all the grace of a baby buffalo it was a bit of an ordeal - I don't usually have to concentrate so hard at the gym. I was kind of over it by the time the class ended and since I'm all about form I spent most of the time wondering if I was doing it wrong.
berme & Krysalyss thanks so much for picking me up when I was down yesterday, I did read your posts but am only just getting around to replying now. Today it wasn't too bad with recoring only a 300g gain which just prooves that most of it was probably fluid.
Audax I've been thinking that you should perhaps be banned from this thread with your mouth watering bickies and other yummy food temptation lol Naaa seriously I know they are totally healthy! My problem is larger servings and I'm sure that if I was eating at your house I would have 2nds and 3rds !!
double trouble, see there was no need to worried about scales scales today. Fantastic job hon.
ausgril darn af, how did you end up going today?
minimatron & Rhi 600gs & 500g losses are a FANTASTIC loss! woothoot for you I say, if that was a bad week than you'll see even better results next week.
belfie you are the 1st to half way to your goal hehehhe. Will be very excited for you if you can pull another 1/2kg next week and reach it!
Just Me WOW babay that is impressive and you are on the top of our list with the biggest loss
Epacris another huge figure! 2.2kg's is really exciting and inspiring WELL DONE AND to be in the 6's is just so wonderful. I weighed in last Thursday at 71.9kg and though yeah in a couple of weeks I'll see a 6 and jump up and down, nothing can describe that 'high' I don't think. Then you'll see a 68, 67, 66 etc and I'll be really motivating.
Krysalyss glad you are not giving soccer up all together, if you can find a team you fit in with either outdoor or indoor that will be great. A 1kg loss is perfect I reckon, Well done hon.
munchkin_mumma I hear yo on the gain Yes it's a kick in the bum and hope that everyone doesn't mind that I put all the gains in our own list lol I thought some might be a little offended but I wanted us to all be accountable which is what this thread is for and to support eachother and i wanted us to celebrate the losses too and strive even harder to be on the losses list next week!
Kaytee don't be too hard on yourself, you have a little baby. Hopefully you find some time for you this week.
hannanat I wasn't sure if you end result for check in was a 200g gain? I've put a kg so I'll change it when you confirm. I'm sure that running will help the weight fall off this week.
Manhattan a fab loss! Great to see walking is working for you and thanks for the comisertions. Yep I agree, giving it a go an d'not' giving up is the mani thing!
Onyx it's no secret that muscle weighs more than fat and increasing the weights will often increase the figures on teh scales. I'd take more muscle anyday. I never forget how amazing I felt at 62kg's toned, fit and a total gym junkie! I look awsome (if I do say so myself) and way better than I looked at 54 or 57kg with no muscle tone at all. I'm sure you'll the the results your after in the coming weeks.
AFM well I still haven't counted my calories today BUT the day's not over yet! I did go for a walk with ds in the pram and I've eaten well. Haven't had enough water which I know is really important. That's about it I think.
