I am in - 8kg to go. Committing to running(ok so trying to run) min 3 times a week rather than sporadically. Drink more water. Also moving more and no more snacking, finishing leftovers or bad choices.
Nothing changes if nothing changes right???

The house is almost clean of tempters. Last night we finished the choc cake and the moon cakes. Checked the cupboards for hiding chippies etc and was happy to find nothing- Except the 2 bars of choc in the fridge. Those are for choc chip cookies for the kids. I'll just have to get some will power there I guess.
The lactation cookies- how bad are they for the diet? I was hoping with dried fruit they would be okay.
Last day of school holidays and of summer (offically) here.

Lactation cookies are my undoing! I am better with store bought stuff than baked stuff, because I don't eat as much of it.

I chatted with DH last night about this. He thinks 4 is a wussy number and I should go for 7. I don't know if 7 is do-able, but I will give it a red hot go.

    Eating strategies:
    * portion control - I used to get madly hungry in early BFing days, but now that she's feeding less, I really don't need so much.
    * better snacking. Going to keep vegie sticks and homemade dip in the fridge at all times
    * swap milky teas for herbals. With winter disappearing, I'll be swapping hot drinks for water anyway.
    * take own morning tea to outings. Fruit bread, crackers and dip etc, rather than cake.

    Exercise strategies:
    * 30 minute walk every day (at least one)
    * 3 other workouts, probably 2 cycling, one swimming
    * At least one of the 3 has to be hardcore.

    Motivators:
    * being skinnier than SIL (works for me every time)
    * looking great in a bikini

    Rewards:
Trying to come up with something here. New jeans? Hardly a motivation in summer. New dress? Maybe. weekend away? If we can afford it. I'll keep thinking.

Count me in! I'd like to lose (at least) 10kg by summer. Have already lost a bit, but having a commitment like this will hopefully help me keep on track!

Ooh ooh, count me in! I actually did really well after DD was born - 1kg below pp weight in a week! But since then I got slack with food, and seriously addicted to sugar. So bad snacks and far too much soft drink. And now I've put on 4 kgs

I've got quite a lot to lose, but seeing as it's 13 weeks away I'll be conservative and aim for 10kgs - any more will be a bonus I've already dropped the soft drink and upped the water (but need more still) and getting rid of most junk food. Exercise is the main problem. I've got Zumba DVDs and work outs downloaded to my phone, but DD is at a stage where she'll sleep on me and nowhere else. She hates the sling, and so I just don't have time to do a proper work out type thing. Walking is going well though, there's a toy hanging above DD in the pram so she'll stay there for a bit lol.

So today, after Rattle & Rhyme, we're going for a bit of a walk around town

Can I join in also? I am already on my weight loss journey and doing Michelle Bridges 12WBT starting in 2weeks. I've lost 12kilos in the last 3months and would dearly love to loose another 8kilos by Christmas. I've plateaued this week and desperately need to get back into it to loose the last bit.

Mildez!! Hello my mumma bear friend! Congrats on your little pink bundle (great guess from me ) I ended up gaining 30kgs (most after the 2nd trimester!) when I went on bed rest. So glad we're in this thread now, after the Healthy Pregnancy #2 Thread

    I'm in!
I started a detox on Wednesday, so officially not spring, but almost Had terrible headaches over the past two days, but feeling much better today.

I'm doing the Nature's Sunshine 14day detox, it's mild and has enough in the box for two people to do it. It's acheivable and ok to do with a busy lifestyle.

I have done 2 spin classes as well as weights for my upper body. Gotta look good for summa time

Me puhlease!!!!! After putting on 30kgs whilst pg with DD, I lost 20 pretty much straight away, but have been carrying the last 10 for too long now. And with a trip to Thailand in November, I need 10kgs gone now!

Looking forward to sharing and motivating with you all

Last night I actually put some 'thinspiration' on the fridge. A big note that says

    10kgs til Thailand
    No lollies
    No chocolate
    No biccies

I am trying to go for at least a 30 min walk everyday, and I am also doing lite n easy for dinner. I drink a fair bit of water, but I'm going to try and up my consumption.

Ok so I've made some lactation cookies, they are so not good for this challenge! But they'll be gone by Thursday

Other than that I'm doing well with the water and walking, and no other junk food. Good lead in to the 1st I reckon

    I'm looking forward to starting!

Hehehe Cherished, I love this motivation! I'm feeling all naughty

No need to worry about the cookies hanging around tomorrow. DH had some - loves them - then I told them what they were for and he's gone to work worried that he's gonna start leaking milk DT, they've got quite a bit of butter and sugar in them, so they're not entirely healthy.

Exercise is good here! Bubs is getting back into napping again so I'm doing the workouts on my phone, and when she wakes up we'll be off for a walk.

Reckon tomorrow I might get my starting weight, then update it each Thursday.
