Ok guys! It's weigh in day! I jumped on to check out the damage I did with moving plus having AF arrive and was suprised to see a loss! Ok, it was only 150g, but I was very very worried it was going to be a gain so I am more than happy with that!

    How did everyone else go?

Well done appletree - any loss is still a loss.

~Jayne~ i love your determination and resolve, it's great to know that we can eat crap for a couple of days but still be in the right mindset to continue to our goals.
Once this month ends i will start a new thread for AUTUMN WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE if you like

well done epayne keep up the great work, 3kg is a wonderful effort.

krysalyss - keep up the great work hun ohh you had a great time with your run!

AFM - well i had prepared myself for getting on the scales this morning and seeing the number rise, with DP off work we haven't been eating as well as normal during the day and have had a couple of nights with dessert at his mums and with us testing out the beautiful fruit from our apple & blackberry trees.
I've got a cold, feel like crap and sooo can't be bothered with things so in turn have not gotten on the bike.

BUT i got on this morning and there is a LOSS.. maybe stress is playing it's part afterall.

Even though i feel like crap am hoping for a walk with HotI this morning as this week is quite busy and exercise will basically be out the window, i will try and get on the bike to make up for it though and from today will be ignoring all unsavoury and evil foods that DP might want to eat

So please still kick me up the butt ladies, i'm finally heading back towards that 11kg i lost before x-mas.

ZF, that is great news!! Well done I know what you mean about eating worse when DF is home, mine just eats junk none stop but still preaches at me about what I should eat and how to feed the kids... He has been home this week and it has been terrible for me food wise! First day back at work today though, so I am out of his influence for the majority of the day. I work in the city so am already savouring the beautiful salad I am going to find for lunch today, and very very pleased I don't have to make it myself. How is the patient going? Will he be off work for much longer?

I am going to have a low exercise week this week, no gym till Thursday! The walk to the train station is around 1.3ks though so I will still get a decent walk in twice a day.

Jayne, how did you go? Did your hard work pay off? It would be so awesome to get to your goal! Good luck!

And Raupe, where are you?? I hope you aren't ignoring us!

Hi everyone else! I'm really sorry I can't do personals at the moment, I am on my iPhone so can't see the last posts and have to rely on my dodgy baby brain to remember what was said by who! I often start to write something and then delete it because I decide that I either got it completely wrong or I'm saying it to the completely wrong person. Hopefully I will get back to having time to sit with the laptop soon!

    Hello guys!

(and to appletree on her iPhone - IT's ME RAUPE! )

Jayne - Well done on you loss and enthusiasm! You're a champ!
ZF - I know how you feel - my partner is a bad influence, too. Although he does try to keep the real bad food away from me. But I can still smell what he had once I come home from work (mmmhhh pancakes). So he tries, but once I smell it, I crave it!
Appletree - I proud of you hun . Moving is such a strain (both mentally and physically). So well done on your loss!

AFM- Well, I was a bit scared of the weigh in day today. But guess what!! I LOST 1 KG!!!!! YAAYY! Wooohooo! So I guess all that zumba, yoga and walking was worth it after all! One happy Raupe here...

PS: I'm now officially in my 80's!!!!

    Hi Ladies,

APPLETREE _ Rock on woman!!! I'm soooooooo proud of you for losing weight AND moving house AND not being happy about food available during the whole time & STILL losing weight!!! What a fantastic achievement. You should be over the moon with yourself. I am stoked for you!

RAUPE _ Well done to you too! 1kg is an awesome loss! Look at your little snail start to zoom across the ticker bar! You are soooooooo close to being half-way home. How exciting!

ZF _ I'm just going to say that you are pure ar$e for being able to openly admit to junk food & no exercise & then report a loss!!! msl: I know what it's like to veer off course, I'm classic for that. You really have to focus hard to get your mojo back, but I really think you will! WTG on reporting a loss. I am laughing when I post this. I'm actually envious!!! lol

Well, I'm back on target for the week. I have had my fun over the weekend & now it's time to pull my head back in. I went for a run this morning & then I did 5km on the crosstrainer cos I know I did damage eating so much birthday cake & lets just say my efforts at the buffet restaurant on Friday night were quite hardcore. lol. My weigh day is Thursday, so I have until then to try & get back in the running for another loss.

    xx

Raupe my DH is a huge bad influence, I am starting to not even let him buy the food so that way he won't even have the chance of eating any bad food. Not that he can't eat it he isn't overweight like me Oh and YAY on the loss.

Jayne, IKWYM we had a bad day on sat with eating and I paid for it later that night , I felt so sick. We did though have a better day on sun after we went shopping. As long as you can focus and get back ontrack that makes the difference.

Appletree WOOO HHOOO on loosing wieght whilst moving, that is a huge achievement.

ZF great that you had a loss as well, it is quite bad when we go to any of our folks, as there just don't understand how hard it is and try to serve up crap food and expect us to eat it, I always come home feeling really bad and rushing to the loo (sorry TMI). Since we have started eating only healthy foods, I can't touch anything greasy.

krysalyss it can be quite hard to do both, I'm the opposite, I pretty much have the healthy eating down pat (with little moments of weakness), but the exercise I need to get my but into gear. I'm not really a morning person so find it hard to do it

Well nothing to add here since the other day about me, other than me trying to get the motivation to do more exercise. Hope you all have a great week.

Hi guys - just a quickie for me as I am working late and keen to get home. Weight day for me tomorrow and I know I have put on as my eating is really not so good. Part of me thinks I should start tomorrow being good and part of me looks at my work deadlines over the next two weeks and wonders (OMG - I have a conference presentation to write, my thesis milestone to submit which needs 4 papers plus an intro and conclusion, a paper to finish for said milestone, and around 50 hours of video to watch). I am going crazy!!!! The good news is that our Japan trip is coming soon. I just need to survive until then. Anyway I will be back tomorrow. Bye!

    Hey Ladies

I just had the most scrumptious lunch!! I can't beleive how much I enjoyed it. It's nothing fancy but man it tasted so good! I sliced up a tomato, some spanish onion (really thin), some cucumber & some ham, spread some crackers with some cream cheese (paper thin of course!!!) & just made up little bite size crackers loaded up with ham & veg. Was sooooooooo delish! The crackers were kinda like Salada's, but a bit more crumbly & they were the size of a quarter of a whole salada? Like a quarter of a slice of bread size? You know?

Krysalyss - Oh my goodness, you have so much on your plate right now! Do you think making a daily meal plan would help? Plan your breakfast, lunch & dinner, plus snacks & try to work around that? Then at least every morning you know you have the food covered, so it's one less thing to worry with all your other commitments?

Hi guys! Couldn't weigh in yesterday as the battery in my scales were flat. Feeling pretty good though as I have been feeding my body and brain well and more in control of what I am doing. Didn't exercise yesterday as my legs were so tired the night before but I have soccer training tonight and that is usually pretty full on.
So I hope everyone is going well! I am so hoping to see a nice loss next week for me. I really need it! I am starting to look pregnant!

    Hi everyone,
I haven't been posting much because there's not much to report. I've been reading every day and it's great to see you all working so hard.
I haven't weighed myself because it gets me depressed when I see no change but I think I've toned up a bit and I feel stronger which is positive. I'm getting to the gym on school days. I usually do some cardio and a bit of spot training in the weights room. I'm doing pump twice a week but I think I overdid the weight today because my choulder is a bit sore. I'll have to remember to stick to some lower weights for my shoulder for a while.
I need to cut the sugar out of my coffee I think. I have 3 or 4 coffees a day with one or one and a half teaspoons of sugar in each. That's a lot of sugar and if it wasn't for those sugars I would be almost sugar free.

ETA - changed the thread name. WTG to all the girls who have stuck with it all the way through summer into Autumn

I'm still here too, skulking in the shadows. I'm feeling terribly unmotivated so I've set myself a new goal. I will jump back on the bandwagon in the middle of March. I've been in and out - DH is working in central Vic so I towed our van for him last night, and it ended up at dinner time. So I ate chocolate, and maccas (which is rare enough in itself for me), but that was following almost an entire block of chocolate the night before. I'm never like this, don't quite know what's gotten into me. So after I go back to get DH and our campervan, and have our trip to Adelaide, then I'm back on board.

I'm still planning to walk when I want to and do rides with DD on the bike - and we're taking our bikes away with us, so hopefully I won't gain, but I'm feeling like I'm starting to stress about everything going into my mouth (no wonder), and I never wanted it to be like this. So taking a step back, but will still be here reading away when I'm near the computer. Well done to you all for getting this far and I'll be back soon

Oh yay, I love the new name change. I think it's somewhat reflection that our 'changes to our lifestyles' are permanent. I know a lot of us believe that the word 'diet' is temporary. In a way I kinda agree, but what happens when we get to our goal weights? We have to maintain it - so the word diet really isn't temporary is it? You know? I'm feel so soulful as I type this!!! hahahaha.

Onyx - Perhaps you are building muscle? Therefore not seeing a reflection on the scales? Can you feel any difference in your clothes?

PacRakMG - I'm liking how you have set yourself a goal to really get back into the swing of things & in the meantime you are more aware of what you are eating. I know I raised all sorts of alarms in my mind when I thought back to eating an icecream for dinner one night! WTF is THAT about? lol

Krysalyss - Oh damn, that's my dream, to have a flat scales battery! hahahah. I am at the ridiculous stage where I panic about setting foot on the scales! I know it's completely stupid - but tis how it is!

We are back in Aus in late April for a wedding & DH is the best man. I need to get myself a completely kick ar$e dress. & one that shows off all my hard work too!!! I am going to start having a little 'browse' around at what's available. I really, really, really hope I can find something that I love. I want it to be perfect - you know? I have worked my backside off & I want to be able to put that dress on & think 'yeah, you deserve to feel good'. Do y'all know what I mean? I don't mean it in a really vain or OCD way - but the mirror has NEVER been my friend, so I have big issues at seeing myself. Ok, I'm rambling, must mean it's time to make dinner! lol

I'm having chicken enchilada's tonight with a side of cherry tomatoes & cucumber. What's everybody else having??

I totally want to see a photo of the dress Jayne. If you don't want to model I get that but I'd love to see the dress on a hanger or something.

I'm sure I can figure something out. lol. The thing is, I have NO idea what I want the dress to look like. I'm kinda thinking something that length-wise it tapers off to the side. Like calf-length on one side & knee-length the other? Does this make sense? Or somethign with a little fishtail at the back. I want something a bit funky at the hemline anyway. As for colour, I have a salmon colour sorta in mind with some gold sparkly shoes. I haven't even had a squizz at what's around town for me to even have an idea TBH. But it's going to be fun to shop anyway. Just wish I had some really close girly expat friends. I'm not really 'chummy' enough with any of the ladies yet to happily go try on dresses with. You know? One lady has offered to come with me & she is a fantastic sewing whizz, so I know if I need any alterations - she's the woman for the job! lol.
