RAUPE _ I find that when I have finished a run, I feel all empowered? Maybe it's all the endorphins that are released or something but I just find that I feel really good, like I have accomplished a milestone & also worked my body at the same time. It's a whole mind & body thing? I have always had a phobia of running, always told myself I couldn't do it, I didn't have the stamina, I was too fat to run, all the excuses. But here I am! Running 5km at a time with no real training or leadup to it. I am going to try change things up, sometimes I might do 3 x 2km runs, but at a faster pace, sometimes just the straight 5km, sometimes a faster run every couple of hundred metres or something - but it's something I'm looking forward to doing. Although, in saying all that, I haven't been able to get to the gym this morning. The cleaner comes at 9 which is usually when I'm at the gym & I have to be here to let her in, plus I have some last minute shopping to do today as we fly to Aus on Thursday night, but I'm hoping to get for a run after lunch today & then I can burn off lunch & breakfast! lol.
ASH _ I'm failing to see 'fun' in running 10km??? bahahah. I just think of it as plain torture?? Just kidding. Wow, you are one fit mumma! I am seriously impressed. WTG with the new book too! Can't wait to hear how you go with it.
AFM _ Off to get some shoes for my Scarlett Johannsen dress today & 2 birthday gifts for kids who have had birthdays in Aus since we have been away. Also thinking I might need a pair of smoking hot black skinny leg pants. My black jeans are not fitting in all the right places anymore & I need a belt to keep them up, plus they are pretty faded, but a nice pair of going out black pants - sounds a plan to me! xx

I had a nie compliment from a friend in my mothers group when we took our bubs swimming the other day, she said I looked 'amazing', I didn't know what to say, as I still don't feel anywhere near where I'd like to be, but still, it was so nice to hear it.
Healthy eating has followed like it's second nature- I don't want to feel sluggish when i'm training, so I'm not eating junk. How simple is that?!!!?! I could be drinking a lot more water though. We ran 2km today and we'll do another 2km tomorrow. The training guide I'm following has shorter as well as longer runs each week. I tell you, last week 2 kms was a stretch for me, but after running 5kms a couple of times on the weekend, today it was heaps easier!! It's so nice to be enjoying the running.
. I had one moment of weakness and tried on this tunic/top thing. It didn't fit my boobs. The girl came to the change room and offered to get me a bigger size... I had to say.. erm... i think the biggest (XL). Sure enough I did. That was an unpleasant moment, and needless to say it prevented me from trying on anything else which was a good thing at least.
. I look like a tank. My weight is so much in my torso, so of course lots of family photos are upper body only... the most unflattering shot of all for me. I was so glad i'd already lost 3kg, cos I don't know how I would have got through it being even heavier than I am. I hate those photos. I tried to use my toddler & baby to hide me lol.
.

that's so annoying when that happens. If it helps any, try to look at it as a learning... it means you're making a good start and you still need to tweak it some more. It sounds like you're eating well, so maybe just a smidge more exercise will do the trick? And just another thought... could that just be fluid? I find I fluctuate heaps depending on my cycle. Maybe try weighing in again sooner, you might get a pleasant surprise?
so maybe i'm coughing it off? Lol. I've also decided to re-do my rewards. I'm toying with getting Zumba for Wii as one reward, but need to wait until I can exercise again for that one.
