My first inclination would be to say no. This reminds me of those vibration machines they had in the 50s, they had a platform you stand on and a belt that you wear that shakes your stomach, which is meant to burn fat etc. The truth is you need to actually use your muscles for them to be engaged, vibration won't do it. The only thing this *might* do is increase blood flow, but a short walk would do a much better job even so. If you're really interested, ask the company for some research papers to support their claims.

They have a vibe studio near my house with those things. You do exercises on a vibrating platform and because its moving you use your muscles alot more than if standing still. Has anyone tried it? They have the machines onsale pretty cheap at oo I think.

    Thumbs up Yes they work

I am in love with these machines! I have always hated exercise but I've been going to a place in South Yarra that has these vibration training machines and they are great. I do about 15 minutes on them 2-3 times a week and they really do work. My strength has increased heaps and I have lost about 5 kilos since I started (without changing what I eat).
Before you knock them ladies - give them a try.

PS. I'd be careful about the cheap home ones though - I've looked at a few and they are nothing like the ones I train on. And anyway - my sessions only cost about $10 and include a cute personal trainer!!
