I really struggle with synthetic fragrances... so hardly ever use products like Glen 20. Instead when we are sick I spray Bosistos Eucalyptus Spray. I also use that in our joggers (running shoes) and they never smell. It's also EXCELLENT for removing pen and texta marks from walls, toys and clothing, great stuff to have on hand!

I have two vaporisers on the go when the house is closed up eg over winter. I am a big fan of essential oils. My favourites for freshening the home are Mandarin and Spearmint.

I often use incense on a Sunday evening. Also if visitors are expected i might go around the house with a L'Occitane room spray (they use essential oils) or spray rose water around.

Mainly I am a big fan of opening all the windows. It's the first thing I do if a hot day is predicted... infact they stay open all night and I close them at about 9am and draw all the blinds etc to keep the cool air trapped inside.

Our house is fairly airy and we don't live on a nasty smelly noisy main road.... our house is in a very leafy suburb, with lots of gardens around it. The smell of traffic is the worst! No way will I ever live on a main road and have to keep the house all closed up to shut out the sound like I have in the past.

Another one here who opens windows and gets an oil burner going. I also have a spray bottle with water and a few drops of lavender for a quick freshen up. It is also good to lightly spray on the couch and cushions.
