Anyone got a steam mop? Which one? Do you love it or hate it?

I've got a cheapie from BigW - it does just as good a job as the expensive stream pro that died. Small tank though. Bit of a pain to keep refilling when you only have tiles.

Hmmm... are they recommended for wooden floor boards? I mop them with an old fashioned mop and bucket but it's a large area and a pain of a job.

Mine works better on Lino and tiles than the wood floor.

My floor is only laminated wood floating floors, not actually wooden floorboards...

Tinkerbell: what do you mean? The cleaning result? Has it done anything to the wood? My wooden boards are already quite old and scratched etc so I'm not that precious... just as long as they don't warp I guess.

No it hasn't done anything bad to my wood floors. I was told it may take the shine off them though but mine aren't really shiny anway, they need another varnish but were like that when we moved in. I just find it does a better cleaning job on hte tiled and lino flooring in my house. I have a large area of wood floor and i find the steam mop is heaps easier to use than a normal mop on those areas.

Ive got a MONSTER FLOORs steam mop ok on tiles but dosn't get grout clean. Its also ment to do carpets but wouldn't recomend it.

we have an H2O steam mop and love it to bits...no more cleaning chemicals needed to disinfect the floor! We have solid timber floorboards Bath and it does a great job....noice shine it leaves. It also works well on the tiles in the wet areas so overall very happy with ours....tip though, get the microfibre heads for it...the trap the dirst so much better than the standard ones!
