Can someone PLEASE recommend me a washing detergent for sensitive skin?!

I used to get terrible excema and still do if I am really stressed but I use Radiant sensitive powder and only about 1/2 what it recommends. I also do a second rinse cycle or upsize the load between wash and rinse when I am about (so that there is more water used in the rinse cycle)

DD has bad eczema and I use ecostore too. I use only half a scoop on DD"s clothing.

Thanks guys! So I'll start using less detergent and add an extra rinse cycle...gee the simple things I never seem to think of!

AJP, how do I use bi-carb? I've been using vinegar as fabric softener and odour neutraliser but that's as "natural" as I am lol.

Thanks for the suggestions - I've been using the yellow hurricane liquid forever (hehe Jleigh!) but I'll try some others to see if there's any improvement in the boys' skin. So I'm starting with Purity liquid for sensitive skin (coz it was on special and very inexpensive) and if I see no improvement will try another and so on.

DS gets terrible nappy rash so I would really like something mild to wash his nappies with. Would love to see how the bi carb affects it.

i use the eucalyptus powder and half the amount only. put it on an extra rinse too. it's stopped my eczema

I use bi carb the same way as washing powder, but not as much. 1/4 - 1/2 what I would use powder.

DD was diagnosed with eczema when she about 18mths old so i used LUX FLAKES which i would dissolve the tiniest amount (not amount stated on box) in boiling water out of the kettle. Then when she was about 2 i started washing her clothes, etc in DUO powder (i buy the big 10kilo box from BigW, when on special i buy two boxes)

I found she got a nasty reaction to liquid Radiance, liquid Dynamo & powder reg Omo & Surf, even the tiniest amount made no difference as she would get eczema.

Another suggestion here, my GP recommend i bath DD only once every two days in QV Flare Up Bath Oil (can get from Priceline) ... which i do. A friend who's DD gets eczema recommended that i give DD a bubble bath once to twice a week as a fun treat as my DD is a fun-loving 3year old in a product from Aldi, it's a 1litre shower gel fragrance ' Tropical Fizz ' (states that it is Soap free)$4.99 ... and my DD has never had a reaction to it (it smells devine)

Google "soap nuts" and google "magnetic laundry system". No need for washing powder at all! I've only recently heard of the magnetic one.. a friend's SIL uses them. I have heard of soap nuts before, and I'm pretty sure some here on BB use them. They are one of those things I've been meaning to try but don't get around to.

Liz ... reminded me that my sister would wash her son's clothes when he was a baby & toddler as he had sensitive skin in just water & nothing else and his clothes were always clean
