Can someone PLEASE recommend me a washing detergent for sensitive skin?!

As Liz said - soap nuts. DH gets a rash from laundry powder and we now use soap nuts which seem fine. They are also cheap and totally natural (it is just the shell of a nut but it soaps up in the wash).

Wow I've never heard of soap nuts, nor the magnets! Amazing stuff! Well it's got me convinced...now just wondering which one to trial first

You can actually buy trial packs of the soap nuts online. I think I went through the MamaAum website

Well what if I start off with using mostly bi-carb mixed with a little bit of washing liquid? Being the skeptic I am...I just can't imagine bi-carb alone cleaning DP's grotty work clothes and DS's pooey nappies and food-stained clothes... (Plus yesterday I went out and bought washing detergent and want to use it up )

In the meantime I'm going to order some soap nuts!

Avoid powders altogether.

We use Earth Choice & only use a tiny bit.

Have you tried Desitin for nappy rash? Not for washing clothes, for on the bum. You get it at chemists & it works better than any other product I've tried & it works within 24 hours.

Satya, no I've never even heard of Desitin but will give it a try thanks!

Macca79, yeah I am using part Purity part bi-carb and using vinegar to neutralise and soften.

Hope it helps their skin!! Have noticed in the last few days ezcema is getting bad on poor DS's eyelids. He also gets it behind his ears, behind his knees in the creases and on his thumb knuckles as well as a patch on his face My poor baby!
