We bought bombs for our house and placed them in the roof and under the house. You can also place them in rooms as well. (We used them as we had an ant problem due to the drought)

There are instructions on the packet about making sure you turn off your power and things like that. I know you can get ****roach bombs from the Hardware. You leave your house for about two hours then come home and vent the house to get rid of the smell
