I got a $14 cast iron camping one from K-mart. It's really even heating and such and my parents have had one for 20 years. All I do after I wash it in the dishwasher is run an olive oil soaked paper towel over it to season it. It's a decent size too

If purchasing a non stick pan please remember not to use any oil sprays as they damage the coating and that is what causes it to roughen, bubble and peel off.

If I had my way I'd have only stainless steel and cast iron. But Swiss Diamond is *the* best teflon cookware range around (for the moment )

Be careful with this one Teagz, we had one and the screw snapped that held the handle on it. Lucky we had finished cooking at the time.

We just bought one of those non-stick ones with the red spot in the middle of it. I cooked a couple of steaks on it - best steak we've ever had (and DH is a butcher's son!!). Cost me $49 from K-mart.
