    Something on pinterest actually works...

I tried the soap scum remover pin. And it worked. Fill a spray bottle with one half dishwashing detergent, one half vinegar and gentle swish till its combined. Spray on the bath and any scummy surfaces. Leave for 2 hours then rinse, now don't be alarmed it won't come off straight away but once you've rinsed the suds away wipe with a cloth and like magic it lifts the scum with no hard work. Then rinse again.

    Amazing

Awesome! Is there anything vinegar can't do?!

We had an ongoing mould issue with our bathroom ceiling until DH sprayed it with vinegar, left it for two hours and it just wiped off and stayed away! Much easier than the bleach and scrubbing we'd been doing forever only to have it come straight back.

    I. Think the soap locks the vinegar in spot which is why it works.

    I love Pinterst!

I love all the cleaning tips on pinterest. I put a bowl of vinegar in my microwave for 5 minutes and it cleaned it so beautifully. I was just able to wipe everything off. Magic!!!!

Did I mention I love Pinterest!

So is it straight detergent or diluted? Or does the detergent dilute with the vinegar?

Sorry if that's a dumb question!

Straight detergent. The original recipe says use dawn and heat up the vinegar. But I had an old bottle of Johnson and johnson no tears (I hate the stuff!) and used that, and vinegar straight in an old spray bottle. I rinsed it and thought uhoh didn't work but then I out my finger on the scum and it moved just with the tip of my finger. Amazing! I think it would work really well if done once a week you might find you get no build up and don't even have to wipe will keep you updated.

awesome. will get a big bottle of vinegar tomorrow. Im assuming its white vinegar? our water is awful and leaves terrible build up on the bathroom. gonna try boiling our jug in vinegar too

Just did the shower (now to wait) also did the upstairs toilet, left it 10mins then cleaned and it's SPARKLING!
No more chemical cleaners for the loo!
Also took a BEFORE shot of the shower.

Hmm, that sounds easy... I HATE scrubbing the shower with a brush to get the scum off.
