Hi Ladies..thought i'd join to start posting in this thread, seems like a great motivator to stay accountable. Sometimes housework can just seem so...overwhelming. Today happens to be my one day a week that I set aside to get the major stuff done.
Today's tasks:
Do 2 loads of washing (start to finish) DONE
1 basket ironing DONE
Vacuum and mop floors DONE
Clean toilet DONE
Clean sink DONE
Cook vegetables for dinner DONE
Water plants DONE
Vacuum couch with dustbuster

Today I woke up to find DD had a very dirty nappy, which had gone all up her back and on her bedsheets & quilt and through to her matress. So I cleaned her up and gave her a bath, stripped her bed and washed the sheets and matress. Took the matress outside to dry and air.
DH went and bought us a new vacuum cleaner (a dyson), so I've vacuumed the whole house except our bedroom and the laundry. Mopped the kitchen, bathroom & toilet room. Brought the matress back inside.
Ok, so I thought maybe if I posted my daily duties here, I might actually do them and feel more accountable, it's so cold today I really just wnat to sit on the lounge and watch Cars with DS1 while the baby is sleeping, but I have so much to do. Rather than just think about it, and whine when I haven't gotten it done at the end of the day, I will get off my butt and DO IT!!
So here goes, it's worth a try!!
This is the minimum I want to do
Prepare and put dinner into the slow cooker (I've had this meal planned in my head for about a week, but just never put it on early enough to cook by dinner time!) Done!
AT LEAST 2 loads of washing to wash/dry and fold pack/awayDone!
Vacuum (at least the lounge/dining, preferably the whole house)
Dishes into and out of the dishwasher Done!
Tidy kids toy room with them
Change my bed Done!

Dinner is prepared and the slow cooker is doing it's thing. I have put a load of clothes on to wash and folded another. The dishwasher has been emptied and re filled. DS1 has been fed (AGAIN!) and I even played blocks with him for about 15mins.
Geeze I can be awesome when I stop procrastinating, lol! Pity I procrastinate so much!
Prepare dinner
2-3 more loads of washing to wash/dry and fold pack/away (I have a tonne to catch up on since it's been raining here for a week!)
Vacuum (at least the lounge/dining, preferably the whole house)
Dishes into and out of the dishwasher (AGAIN!)
Tidy kids toy room with them
Change the kids beds
Clean main bathroom
You have done better than me Rhichichi! All I have managed at the moment is to do a load of washing and prepare dinner! In my own defense, we were out until 1pm and then I watched a movie with the big kids while the little one slept. A good reason to relax and connect with my big babies I will get there though! DH isn't home until 6.30 tonight so that is my deadline, lol! Plus I have the motivation of having a house inspection tomorrow too!
So I am off to do some more cleaning, oh joy!
Today, I have done 2 loads of dishes, 3 loads of washing, and folded 8 (yes, 8) loads of washing, and hung some up. I've also done some sweeping, put all the toys away, all the books away, and done a whole bunch of child related stuff.
