dishes and the kitchen. It is the centre of the house, so if it looks clean and tidy the rest of the house doesn't seem so bad. Doesn't mean it always happens though
Washing hung on the line. Have to do it once a day, twice if there is a really good westerly or northerly blowing and things are drying fast......
And you had better not do it for me. or I will open a whole dirty hamper of whoop ass on you.
DONT TOUCH MY DIRTY/WET CLOTHES.......
I need cleared (preferably clean) surfaces ie. benchtops and dining table. Basically so I'm hot to trot on the cooking and eating. I like cooking and I like eating even more.
If I also have beds made then I really do flounce around the house thinking I am an absolute legend even if everything else is a dog's breakfast.
My thing changes but I MUST have a list. On the list are 10 chores and I cross them off as I go, then if I feel super motivated I write another 10 and do them etc... I break it down to the level of things like : Put washing on line. fold up and put away 30 things.
I can't function without a list!!!
The sofas have to be free of clutter, and the coffee table. Even if the mess is dumped on the floor. Then I can put my feet up and have a coffee with a book, reassured that the rest of the house can wait.
Actually, the bookshelves are always ordered and clean. I can arrange books all day. And no access to the piano means I don't do any other cleaning until that's done. (Bravo DH for blocking my piano for months with moving boxes, then whinging his stuff is in a mess.)
Anything in the kitchen not cleaned properly. Yes things get dirty. But for goodness sake clean it PROPERLY. And do not EVER put away a dish that is wet or dirty. I will kill you.
The Kitchen - it literally IS the centre of the house, we have a big open plan house with everything basically surrounding the kitchen, which is awesome, however it means you cant hide the mess in the kitchen. So if I keep the kitchen under control, the rest of the house seems to follow
