I used to be really good with my housework, even better when i was nesting! Then DD came along and i just fell behind but now my routines are:
Daily:
Dishes
Wipe down benches, stove and sink
Washing, fold and put away clean washing.
Tidy up loungeroom, DD's room and front area (she usually trashes them throughout the day so i go around after her cleaning up)
Vacuum & mop every 2nd day
Empty bin and clean bin
Weekly:
Full house vacuum & mop
Clean bathroom and toilet
Wash sheets and air out pillows
Monthly to 6 monthly:
Wipe down walls, skirting boards
Clean shower top to bottom
Get carpets cleaned (this hasnt started so its a thing to start doing)
Spring clean the house and garage get rid of junk we dont need or use (this is probably a yearly thing)
I could be better and not all the time i follow this routine.. if im sick of DD is sick then i dont.
What stands out from reading this post is none of you mention what your DP/H does. Please, please, please tell me he does his fair share of housework!! After all, it's not the 1950s!!!!
N2L, my DF does twice as much as me cleaning wise plus he cooks and does the lawns and washes my car! lol. Definitely not he 50's here
I'm just laaaaaaaaazy

Ok SO my routine for me daily is:
Dishes (usually 3 times)
Washing wash dry fold put away
Sweep kitchen and dining
Vac lounge.
I'm finding I'm getting most of that done by 10-11, so I come and chill on the comp for an hour and then get into lunch.
I've decided I will do 1 weekly job every day and on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I don't go anywhere during the day I will do 2.
Weekly
* vac hallway and bedrooms
* sweep and mop laundry, bathroom, toilet etc.
* Full kitchen dining Mop.
*wipe down all doors
* bathrooms and laundry sinks cleaned
*Beds changed
* microwave cleaned out.
*fire place cleaned out - probably more like twice weekly
Monthly
*windows cleaned inside and out
* walls and skirting boards wiped down
*oven cleaned
*Lounge suite wiped and conditioned (leather)
*Dusting
* clean fridge (inside and outsde)
*toy and clothes cull.
Now My hubby will help when I haven't gotten around to it (I'm a bit crook so he was team housework yesterday).
He also:
Cuts and Carts wood for the fire.
Takes the bins out (which is about 500 metre walk one way)
Is in charge of all the outside stuff
Washes the cars
He MUST keep all his clutter under control ( I will be getting into him about this one! He's a mad car freak.... car EVERYTHING!).
He also does the grocery shopping with me, looks after the kids 3 nights a week while I'm out doing me stuff, looks after them if I'm going away for a weekend etc.
He also cooks some of the time.
He used to have to do EVERYTHING. I've only just started being this way and I actually don't mind it. I don't mind cleaning the house during the day. I know he's kinda freaked out at the moment because 2 months ago before our move, I was lucky to wash the dishes once a week! I was lucky to vac once a fortnight! There were lots of issues around the reasons behind this... but being in a new house has really fixed it all up.
Now that I'm all domesticated, I'm hitting him up for a romantic dinner date once a month.![]()
