    Hi Girls,

Am back from Thailand and ready to start our DE cycle. Can't wait!! We should be able to start in 2.5 wks!

Sara - Good luck with finding your very special donor. I hope things happen quickly for you.

Wouldlove - My cuz is 9 wks older than me...so 29. I'm feeling pretty positive about things.

    Hello to everyone else.

Hi all - it's been a long time since i posted but still checking in all the time. Guess i wasn't in the right state of mind to be communicating . Anyway, as the end of the year is nearing, it feels like some things are starting to settle, or at least pick up. Our wonderful beautiful donor (DH's friend) will visit us from o/s in 2 weeks. And in a jam-packed week of testing, counselling and sampling we will be finally be one step closer to our dream. I dare not get too excited, have hit too many walls on this journey to get all my hopes up, but maybe, just maybe we're on our way.

Clemo - time's gone fast. fantastic that you're starting the cycle already.

Hi to everyone else.... hope your special donors are close by.

Well AF turned up late Friday afternoon (yay!)

Had a blood test this morning - they squeezed me in and the pathology courier was hanging around waiting as it was done.

The blood tests results came back - my progesterone levels were a little high but not enough to stop the cycle. I'll be starting my Gonal F injections tomorrow night.

Lieve - That's so good to hear that things are happening for you. I hope everything goes smoothly with the counselling and testing and that you can start your cycle really really soon.

seachange - good luck for your cycle.

We will definitely be using a donor from next year, after 10 rounds of ivf/fet with DH's sperm, it's not working, and his sperm is just getting worse each time.

So not sure if we will try donor iui or still do ivf - appt with Concept in January to do our counselling, pick a donor and meet the FS. A whole other big bad world out there - and here I was thinking I was the know-all on ivf.

Using a donor has definitely thrown us a few curve balls mentally and emotionally, definitely not 100% there yet but getting there.

Hi just wondering where are you living? Just cause if your thinking of going down the road of the donor sperm path...then you should know there is a very very long waiting list in some clinics.

My DH and I have been waiting for almost 8 months now and we still don't have a start date with our original clinic. We have found another clinic without waiting times. PM if you need to know the clinic its in sydney.

    thanks redlady

I am in Perth and the clinic I have spoken to has said that as a hetero couple we will get a donor straight away. We are very lucky, and to be honest I will be holding my breath until it is all done and dusted.

Pretty sure we will have two goes at diui before we head back to ivf, unless the dr thinks we should just go straight to ivf... .will see what happens.
