I would contact ebay right away. But because you didn't use paypal it may be that it is more difficult to get it back.
Good luck - I hate it when things like this happen.
I bought a DVD box set on eBay, $85, it was pre-release. I paid on September 23. I haven't yet received the item. It was supposed to be shipped on October 11...
The seller had over 5000 in the feedback. Mostly positive, some negative about postage times, so I figured ok, I probably should have received the item but I'll give them a bit of time as it seems they're a bit slow.
Now I log on to see that they aren't registered anymore... When I try to click on the item I bought it comes up with "item cancelled"...
What do I do? In the item description it did say allow 4 week for delivery from release date, but now they aren't registered I'm not sure what to do...?
HELP! Please don't tell me I just wasted $85 (I paid bank transfer not Paypal...), BUT I have a confirmation email saying they received payment, so I *should* be able to get it back if it seems they are dodgey... right...?

Hi, I sent them an email asking what was happening and got this one back...
My first reaction is to try and get my money back... I mean, what kind of 'legitimate business' doesn't even have my details (I mean, the item was supposed to be sent by now for starters...). What would have happened if I hadn't even contacted them?Hi,
We are currently deregistered from eBay for a policy infraction. If you wish to still receive the item please let us know and advise how payment was made and when and what your address is and we will reprocess the order through our website.
If you'd prefer to get a refund please let us know, also advise payment details etc.
We are a legitimate business with our own website and eBay is a small part of our sales, being deregistered by eBay and their myriad of stupid rules is not a reflection on us as a business or our reliability and you can rest assured that your item will be delivered.
Thanks,
WDYT?
Oh, and I've just discovered I can get the same item expressed post, and it'll cost me a few dollars cheaper INCLUDING postage as a buy it now... pretty much guarenteed to be here Mon/Tues... this business won't...
Maybe request a refund then? They probably don't have your address, etc because they have been deregistered and no longer have access to that info on eBay. It's still pretty poor of them not to have your details kept elsewhere, they would have received your name, address and purchase all in an email originally.
It does happen and if the seller isn't dodgy you should receive your refund. I hope you do!
