In Austalia we don't teach maths out of a book and the "creative" examples of how to teach your kids maths is what we actually do. Yes you could teach the whole curriculum in 20 hours but how much is retained? Maths must be revisited or you lose it. How many people who don't use algebra for work still know how to do it?
