I just wanted to offer you a bit of reassurance - my mum tells me that I would NEVER sit still for a story at home, would get bored and wriggle off her knee and certainly couldn't read or write by the time I started school.

I have two degrees and have just packed twenty cartons of books and put them in storage.

My sister was very good at sitting still and listening to mum read stories and I think she could write by the time she went. She left school at 16 and I don't think has a book in her house.

You just never know how things are going to turn out so try not to worry too much. You're doing a great job!
