While my heart makes me take a close look at my options and propel me in a certain direction, it is my head that makes me decide to totally go with it or not. BTW. Sunshine Coast is an awesome place to live. I would be there if I could afford it. And while I wouldn't commute to Brisbane every day for work, it really isn't that far away at all.

Yanno it's actually not that expensive! I'm renting but have seen some amazing 3 bed houses in Buderim for $350 a week! Compared with what I can get in Brissy...it's amazing!

Yeah but we bought 2.5 acres in Gatton for $90K. If we were renting I wouldn't mind but land by itself (so we can build) is out of our price range still. Maybe when we retire

I go head every time. Well I do now... my marriage was with my heart and look what happened there!

Seriously as we mature I think we use our heads more, tend to look at both positives and negatives. We realise that we need to enjoy our lives, rather than rush headlong into things because we believe in our heart they will work out.

    JMHO.

And this is exactly the reason i'm thinking about making the lifestyle change and moving to the coast. Imagine being able to take the kids dodwn to the beach every afternoon after school! Plus id LOVE to get them into Nippers!

    follow your heart

Hi C~Q, great discussion you've started here :-)

Something I have only recently learned for myself is that if you follow your heart there is not such thing as "wrong decision", its impossible to follow your heart and make things worse. Of course we have to take care of ourselves and if we want to lead a certain lifestyle we need certain things to be able to do the things we want to do, specifically money. Thats were the decision making process from the head comes in. For example if you are presented with two job opportunities and you are trying to figure out which one you want more, your head might point you in one direction while at the same time your heart tells you none of the choices presented are what you really want. So which one should you listen to? Thats the beauty of free will, its totally up to you, there is no right or wrong. :-)

In my opinion we listen way too much to our head and forget to get in touch with our heart where we find love, peace and all the answers we need to be happy.

There is nothing wrong with making decision from your head. What I am proposing is simply that when we make those kinds of decisions we usually dont end up with what we really want. We may be satisfied with the outcome but in our heart we know thats its not what we truly want.

How do I make my decisions? I ask what do I really want and then I simply follow my heart, wherever it takes me :-)
