Endo updates..... how are you travelling?

I haven't seen a naturopath. But I know what it feels like to be TTC. I was on vit B6 and flaxseed oil before I fell preg the last time.
My last pregnancy was a big surprise as we had been TTC for a while and then decided to wait and see what a Lap/Hysteroscopy found out. Only to fall pregnant just before the opp date (so it was postponed). Sometimes I wonder if the stress from TTC stopped me from falling pregnant.

Just checking in with an update. I had a lap last friday 5/12 and my Gyno said they found some old scar tissue on my bowel and a few new adhesions (which explains a LOT - I always had pain during a bowel motion when I had AF) and a few also in towards my back, as well as some others in various spots. I also had a mirena put in too. Still get a bit tender in the navel from the lap though.

Re pg and endo remission, I was told this too and that pg could well help with it. After I had my first lap in 99, I was on duphaston for 6mths before falling pg accidentally with my first baby. After he was born things were great on the AF front - no pain at all apart from a few cramps that were bliss to deal with compared to before having kids. They were a LOT heavier than they ever were though, but I could deal with that cause there was no pain. Over the ensuing years things were really good and it was in the last few months before conceiving our 4th baby that things started getting funky again and since he was born it just hadn't been *right*, so hence why I had the lap. I suppose depending on the severity of your endo to start with would have an effect on how successful being pg and then BF would be at putting it into remission. Once you have it, I don't think you are ever 100% cured of it though, but the longer you can delay the build up of cycts and adhesions the better off you are for it though.

Do you mind me asking how long you were TTC before u fell pregnant?
I am SO hoping I can get pregnant naturally. I don't want to take meds to put my body into a menopausal state if I don't need to.

As some of the girls here know, I was diagnosed with severe endo last october and advised to go on Zoladex for 6 months and then to try and fall pregnant asap. I refused the Zoladex and used natural therapies (i'm a nutritionist) and actually had 3 months of acupuncture from Feb this year. I didn't necessarily notice a big difference from anything I tried, and even found that the pain was worse after having the lap and having it 'all' cut out. But, my accupuncturist said that after about 2 months that my pelvic region had much less congestion and the energy flow was much better.

I then fell pregnant in May. It wasn't particulary planned, but we weren't really avoiding it either! We were going to start trying around now... but i'm very greatful that I fell pregnant without trying as if we hadn't I think the stress of trying would stop me from falling naturally.

I was pretty much told that I wouldn't fall pregnant naturally, and my gyno who did the op said I was stupid for not using the Zoladex and that i'd be back to him within 6 months to get another lap done. I did get a second opinion from Dr Cooper in Sydney, and was much more confident with his advice. He just pretty much said fall pregnant asap, breastfeed as for as long as possible, then if we wanted more kids, fall pregnant again soon after finishing breastfeeding. The longer without AF, the better your chances of warding off endo. He didn't say it can be 'cured', he just said that it can get better.

Also, I have found this pregnancy to be pretty stressful, and I believe its because of the endo. I have pretty much had period type pain the whole pregnancy. And had bleeding from 7 to 17 weeks. I keep getting the feeling like my period is trying to come. The pain is no where near what it was like with my period, but just a constant aching feeling. But, when bubs kicks, it relieves the pain!! (unless its in the direction where I had most of the endo cut off... that is rather painful!).

Sorry for the long post, I just want you to know that there is hope. Good luck with TTC and I hope santa brings you those two little lines.

Thank you for sharing your story w/ me. It gives me hope; that of which I have little of anymore.
I know I stress too much - I know it sure isn't helping me any.
I am hoping the naturopath I see Tues can help me and maybe I will fall pregnant.
It took us 10 months to fall preg w/ DS - but I also wasn't having endo pain then. My pain/endo got worse after I gave birth. They say being pregnant is supposed to help - its like it made mine worse.
I really want another baby - sometimes I feel like its not going to happen again kwim?

I was first diagnosed with endo after a lap about 3 1/2 yrs ago. I'd been having painful periods and bowel movements, stomach cramps (even when AF not due) for years but drs never investigated for endo as I was 'too young' (early 20's then) Dr found stage 4 endo near bowel and on the vagina (sorry for tmi!) After the op my gyno advised getting utd asap as this could help stop endo from coming back. DH and I weren't ready then, so I went on the pill non-stop for 3years (no AF). Started ttc #1 in April and haven't had any bad endo symptoms back yet. Every month I am waiting for things to go bad again, but from what everyone is saying, the longer without AF, the better. I don't htink it's preg as such that helps prevent the endo, just no AF!!
Christal - hang in there. I know what you're saying about ttc, and with endo I feel like it's a time bomb waiting to go off. Most people say I'm still young and have heaps of time to have chn, but I'm worried the endo has already caused problems and we won't be able to conceive naturally. Those words my gyno said are coming back to haunt me - if you want chn, start now, because it could take you a lot longer and you may need help. I thought he was so selfish for suggesting I bring a baby into the world just for the sake of my health when neither dh or I were ready for chn, but now we want a family, I kinda wish I'd listened a bit more closely...

I remember coming home and crying when I was about 17 because a dr. told me I may never have children! They hadn't even done a lap and she told me that!! Anyways after the birth of my son, I went on bcps. I never had any endo pain before giving birth to my son. I just had really heavy AFs.
So as soon as I gave birth I went on bcp which I stayed on for 2 years. When he turned 2, we decided to try for another baby figuring it could take a year or so. The first 3 months off of bcp my afs were fine.. but the 4th month, I started getting really severe abdominal pain- especially during a bowel movement. After a few months of this I seen my gyn who suspected endo. He felt we'd be able to conceive though and gave me pain pills and CLomid to try to speed up the TTC process. After a few more months of this w/still really painful AFs he did a lap and discovered endo. He said my tubes were clear like your Chris but that I had endo all over everything and it was attaching my ovary to my kidney or something like that.. he did remove it all thought we'd get pregnant and we just haven't. That was exactly a year ago this month. I feel like I'm out of options. IDK what to do anymore.
