Hello ladies, this is my first post in here, and first time in here. I've just read all your posts up until now, hopefully you will all have more success soon.

I too suffer with PCOS, but I am not overweight. I am not what they call a "classic" case. Its still frustrating though. I remember when I was in high school I would go for a couple of months without a period, then I would bleed for about 2-3 months. It was a nightmare!

So my story is a very long one, but to cut it short, I'm on IVF now and have been since October 2003, still no luck conceiving, however, my specialist has just put me on Metformin and just recently Dexamethasone, apparently these will help with conception, I have had a biochemical pregnancy two or three months ago, but again, it didn't last. so hopefully the metformin and dexamethasone will help.

so does anyone know on average how long you need to be on metformin before conception will take place? Or could anyone tell me how long it took them after taking metformin?

Im currently on three tablets a day - morning, noon and night.
