PCOS and Clomid side effects

I've been searching the net trying to find some answers. Found this forum and was hoping someone could help me.
I've been diagnosed with Endo and Pcos, we have been trying for another child for nearly 2 years now, I've had 6 cycles of Clomid, all failed.
But my concern at the moment is the occasional spotting between periods, sometimes not even enough to be classified as spotting. It's only happened about 4 or 5 times in the past few cycles all together. I am hoping it's just a side effect of the clomid in my system.
Has anyone else taking Clomid had this???

I have PCOS and had 3 cycles of clomid but never experienced any spotting. Then again, I didn't have any ovulatory response at all on clomid which was why I moved onto FSH injections! If you are concerned about the spotting, talk to your specialist. It also seems as though you may need to look at other treatment options because the odds of conceiving on clomid after 6 cycles is very slim - normally 6 cycles of clomid is the most that any specialist will do (that is what my specialist told me).

I also have PCOS. I have been TTC for 6-7 months, with 2 of those months on Metformin, and the last month on Metformin and Clomid. I haven't had any spotting while on Clomid (except at 9DPO, which I'm hoping was implantation!). However, I used to get LOTS of spotting before I started on the medication. Maybe the spotting is a symptom of your PCOS? Did you have it before starting on Clomid?
