Jess, I'd just like to add that many women with PCOS conceive (and do it naturally, too). Don't take one doc's opinion too seriously, find yourself a good specialist.

I have PCOS, unfortunately I found out as a result of TTC but without success. Well, after many cycles of clomid, then 2 rounds of IVF, I finally managed to fall pg on my own (with help from a drug called Metformin). If you are TTC I suggest you seriously consider asking to be put on Metformin, especially if your doc only thinks about clomid.
