Dabs, I'm so glad to hear that you did end up having the surgery. Not good that they found the endo, but must be a relief for you to know what is going on and have a plan of attack for it?
Can't comment on the Zoladex sorry. I'm sure there are some girls on here who will be able to help you out with it though.
Don't forget to keep us updated on your progress.
I hear where you're coming from- its awful!! But I must say that you really need to get off the conventional medical/surgery/synthetic drug train and hop on the natural medical train with a good Naturopath asap- please see my post titled 'PCOS and Endo CAN be Reversed!' under this section. It explains my journey to healing and completely eredicating this horrible condition. The artificial birth control hormones you are taking do a lot of harm to the body- particularly increasing your risk of reproductive cancers like breast cancer. Not to mention the damaging effect they have on fertility. Besides, drugs only address the external symptom, rather than actually addressing the cause of the problem. That is why it returns time and time again.
Don't delay it another day. Believe me- as hard as it is to imagine, I promise you that this condition can be completely reversed and eradicated for good- without the harmful surgery.
All the best!
Hi I was just wondering how you are going now? I am 37 and had my endo operation in Jan 08 and still not good I desperately want to get pregnant and get some normality back in my life and was wondering how you are after seeing this new doc? Hope you are going well
Well Jelly bean, thanks for your story of how natural medicine has worked so well for you. I am one of the naturopaths at the Belly Belly centre here in Melbourne and it is great to hear from people who have gone down the natural therapies approach and had such good results.
Orthodox medicine just does not have the medicine to treat these where as we have a fantastic array of herbs that are specific to the reproductive system such as antispasmodics for the pain, hormonal regulators to encourage a normal hormonal cycle and uterine tonics which tone the uterus. We also use nutritionals, dietary and lifestyle changes which all have a big impact on both of these conditions.
So why not try it for yourself and get good results like Jelly bean?

Dabs this probably doesn't relate to you, but I thought I'd post in case on the rare chance it did.
I had bad periods and ovarian cysts since I was 19. It was so bad I couldn't function the day I got AF. AF got so bad that in May this year at 30 years of age that I was vomiting on AF day. One month later I went in to a doctor who was skeptical of my request of a blood glucose fasting test but gave me a blood glucose test. The test showed I had high blood sugar and diabetes. I ended up in hospital the next week due to that test for diabetes type 1 with dehydration.
I have been on insulin ever since and since starting the insulin my bad periods went away to like they were before I was 18. I had type 1, a slow forming type that instead of developing in childhood slowly develops in your 20's and often doesn't show up in fasting blood glucose tests. It doesn't show up because slow type 1's can have good basal insulin ( the insulin that lasts all day) and bad meal insulin (the insulin that lasts 1 hour after a meal. To test for slow type 1 a HBAC1 test is required as it shows an average of blood glucose over 3 months unlike the fasting which doesn't show the post meal time blood sugar levels.
