Just a quick note to say Welcome coin.

There are lots of other women on here with PCOS, including plenty who have children, so there's no need to feel alone. (I was 'officially' diagnosed last week although I'd been suspecting it myself for a while.)

I'm so sorry things haven't worked for you this cycle. But it's great that you're already seeing a specialist and getting help.

Definitely ask your specialist for a plan, like how long they recommend continuing with one treatment before trying something different. Knowing that there are other options out there helps put some light at the end of the tunnel.

I recommend joining one of the TTC (trying to conceive) buddies groups. You will find plenty of supportive people who understand what you're going through.

    Hello Coin!

I know what you mean about the emotions you can get from finding out you have PCOS. On the positive side, it is one of the treatable fertility complaints
I was diagnosed with PCOS back in May and advised to start on clomid to get my cycles going, and ovulating. I was the same as you and as soon as i found out i saw a specialist. But I'm only young so I didn’t want to use my last resort yet so i did some research and tried acupuncture. I live in Adelaide too so if you want his details i can give you them. I started having two sessions a week and i went from being 70 days, 60 days and 90 day cycles to 38, 35, 31 etc! AND as a positive i fell pregnant in August. So if you are open to alternative medicine i recommend it highly. It worked for me, and i know it might sound funny but i felt at least i was doing something physically to try and fix it.

    Don’t give up hun!!!!

Hi coin, I'm another with PCOS. I had my daughter last year through IVF as I was desperate and rushed straight into assisted fertility, I also have severe endo and only one fallopian tube so I had more reasons to rush into IVF. However this year I started seeing a naturopath and four months later I was pregnant again! Naturally!!

There is a lot of hope! I also second acupuncture, it can be amazing! I can't recommend highly enough natural medicine, even if you want to use it as well as your fertility treatment, it can help with success rates! Good luck.
