Hi Rainbow,

That sounds great, 5 months sounds like a good amount of time to prepare yourself, learn as much as you can so you feel confident in the outcome and look at other options if you want to.

Another thing worth mentioning is that even exploring other options may make you feel more in control and confident about the choice/s you make. I know I found dealing with some of the medical specialists, whilst caring and professional, they only had very limited time and it's hard to think of all your questions and have your fears/concerns adequately addressed in a 15 minute time slot. Even if they don't mean to make you feel rushed, it's hard not to feel like you are wasting thier time with irrational or emotional questions. The naturopath that I dealt with spent well over an hour with me on my first visit, just talking, and that alone meant the world to me. I walked out feeling like I wasn't completely alone and a little more in control emotionally, because it is a scary and emotional issue to confront. With the right people on your side you may find that it is easier to make decisions that work for you, and remember, it doesn't need to be a choice between either/or, if you decide that you want to go the surgical path, there are a lot of things that a good naturopath can do to help your body prepare for the surgery and assist in a quick recovery and a improve your chances of conception.

Anyway, my heart goes out to you and I wish you every chance of a successful treatment.
