Am i a sucker or are they really free range?

hello, i was just at Safeway buying a BBQ chicken for dinner and I noticed that they now have free range BBQ chickens. They are more expensive, but i dediced to buy that one over the normal chickens. I was wondering how you can be sure that they really are what Safeway claims they are? Or am i just a sucker that paid more for the same chicken in a different package?

Id assume they would have to be free range or its false advertising? You should be able to call and check which farm they come from, head office should know surely?

I would think a large company like Woolworths would not be able to get away with faking things but calling head office or even just asking the deli manager would be a good idea if you're wondering. I notice my Coles sometimes has Lilydale BBQ free-range chickens for sale in the deli.

Mmm. now you've got me craving a bbq chook!
