Ali - we aren't getting kicked out, I have chosen to move out because I cant afford the increase so we are out the day before the price rise starts. I still have the numbers of the places we went to last time we were in this situation but they have said they cant do anything while we still have a roof over our heads and then there will be waiting lists depending on where we are placed on the priority list (last time we were priority one due to everything that was happening but this time i don't know).
Rachel - Thank you for the offer of a chat, I will be seeing my counsellor again this week hopefully (she is technically on holidays but has given me her home number to keep in contact with her, but she hasn't been available because she is busy with the bushfire memorials in her area at the moment)
Teni - thank you, Hadfield is out of the area for my daughters school and other services she currently uses.
Maz - We dont have a case manager, we have been on the dept housing list for 3 1/5 years and still waiting for priority/special needs housing.
I have spent all day today with my best friend talking everything over, So my plan of attack is Take some more time off uni if they will allow it, put all our stuff into storage, stay between her place and my brothers place (neither of which is really ideal but its better than the car).
I am going to speak to the housing office again (called them about three time in the last few weeks) and then get the principal of my daughters school to speak to them as well.
With any luck we will get something even if it is short term housing for now.
Feeling a bit better now I have a plan to follow, hopefully something will sort out in the next couple of weeks.
