    Having more kids

Last time I was pg with ds I knew I wanted another and was happy to go through pg again and soon I wanted them close together, this time I feel I still want another one or 2 I don't feel completed with just 2 (dh is happy to stay at 2 but if i want more he's happy to go to 3)I want ds and dd to have a sibling of same sex I know how great it is to have a sister to chat to everyday on the phone and compare our kids and support each other (even though we're 13 yrs apart) I don't have that kind of relationship with my brothers there men and there form of communication is minimal although we all get along and love each other
But I just really don't want to be pregnant again it's just so long and uncomfortable and painful at the end
I thought about adoption but I figure we don't have the finances and there's a big enough waiting list I didn't want to slow down the wait for someone else without kids
I wouldn't have the next for at least 3-6 years
Did you warm up to the idea of being pregnant again? Or did you just eventually get comfortable with the idea of not having another even though you didn't feel finished or do you just suck it up and do the pregnancy thing again

Just sucked it up because my wanting another child was stronger than my hatred of pregnancy. Its only 9 months and you get a child for life.

I was done after number 4 though - my want for another wasn't greater than my hate for pregnancy.

However the universe had other ideas. Thankfully its been gentle on me so far!

I was done at 4 then miscarried, that's when I knew I never wanted more then 3. I was happy with a girl (well 2) and my boy. I felt complete. That was until I divorced and met DF. He wanted kids, I was undecided if I could do it again. It was a lengthy process via a donor and finally our first (and only bub if I get my way) is on the way.

He would like another bub, but I don't think I could go through the whole process of getting preg and then doing a 9 month stint again. I'm happy with just our one bub + my 3 kids I already have

Ive always wanted at least 3, 2 boys and a girl, ive got my 2 boys now i just need my little girl, when im pregnant i hate it and i ask myself why im this crazy lol but it only takes me a few months PP to forget and my huge desire to have another baby over shadows that. DH and i both wanted 3, i think about babies and pregnancy and names constantly so i no im not done, dh isnt as obsessed but he does want another as well. So no my hatred of pregnancy definitely doesnt change my mind

Well unfortunately I don't think I'm gonna get the choice (DH says he's done), but as much as being pregnant again scares me after all the issues we had with DD2, I'd do it again to have one more baby. As others have said, its 'only' 9 months (or in my last case, 8), and that's not much in comparison to a lifetime together.

I was absolutely categorically done after DD2 and it took almost three years for that feeling to change. Then I desperately needed one more, despite knowing that pregnancy for me is 9 months of hell, and actually sustaining a successful pregnancy wasn't easy. I was sure through my pregnancy with DD3 that she was my last baby for a number of reasons, but the overwhelming reason being my age. DH had a vasectomy and luck was against us, so while I know psychologically that we need to be done with our family now, emotionally I would love another.

If you are considering a gap of 3 to 6 years then that is a ton of time to just sit back and enjoy your DD and DS, and wait to see how your feelings evolve.
