    How fun is.....

playing Uno with your kids! I LOVE that my kids are old enough now that they insist on playing by themselves (DS is hilarious and can't hold all his cards so of course it makes it easy for us to ..ahem assist him with winning from time to time seeing as his cards are spread out on the table! ) )

I also am loving that DS is that bit older now and he and DD play really well together but they also can play by themselves if they want to!!

So what do you love about "this" stage in the life of your kids??

NB:: I also had an awful day with the weather, plus the 2 of them running wild all day so it was really nice to be able to play quietly and nicely before they just passed out!!

Oooooh UNO is awesome!!! I always ask dh to play it with me but he says no lol!!

Our girls are a little young for UNO but we have done some games with them like board games for 3+ and we always end up laughing as the girls have no idea what they are meant to do haha

We love throwing the girls around the room and they love being spun around..... gently of course even miss 11mo wants her daddy to do it to her!!

Oh we love that game too. Tonight we just played junior pictionary!! It was the funniest thing I was in tears laughing. The pictures that the children ( and us adults ) drew where so funny.

Jenga. Jenga. Jenga. It rocks. Until it falls down and the kids start throwing blocks at each other.

Lego. I'm addicted. I mean, my boys are addicted

Love Lego although I have to say it's more DH's domain than mine, I follow the instructions and still can't build something that is square, yet he will build something like Mack from Cars just from his imagination and it will be elaborate and perfect in 5 mins I can sing and brush dolls hair really well though

Ha me too! So glad they're finally old enough that I'm not playing by myself

DD1 loves games - hadn't thought of Uno....might get it for her birthday next week. We have a couple of versions of kids monopoly that she adores....me not so much.
They also have Junior Panic!. It's so cute to hear DD1 and DS playing together. She makes up easier versions for him to find and when she adds up the scores, she always makes sure he wins lol

My girls are really into games too and its so much fun playing with them - especially now that DD2 is a bit older and doesn't crack it whenever she doesn't win!

They got a game for Christmas call Bug Off or something - you wear a velcro sleeve/cuff that you stick a variety of nice and nasty bugs to with the object being to get rid of them - she without bugs wins. Hilarious when they should be offloading a bug but don't want to because they only have the pretty ladybugs or butterflies left!

Yeah, my DS is majorly into lego too. Insists we get some more every week. I would refuse, but I get to play too.

We like Snakes and Ladders a lot here. And Hungry Hippos. All the high-skill games. Ker-plunk, pop-up pirate and lego board games also go down well here. However, I am NOT an Uno fan.

I love that DD is so easy to teach funny things.

Her latest thing is to sit down and sigh loudly and say "I sitting".
    It's so funny.
We were out the national park and DH called her for wandering a bit far away and she plonked herself down and called out "I SITTING!!"

The little fishing game - MIL bought the girls one the other day and it doesn't have magnets it's actually got a little hook so you have to be co-ordinated enough to get it IN the mouth and lift it out... not just let the magnet do the work.
The girls love it and DD1 has been playing it for hours, i love watching them play it and joining in.
We also bought a smurfs version of the pairs game - teaching DD1 is great fun and DD2 likes to join in... sometimes i remember where something was and help them just a little too

Just been browsing for Lego on-line. Finding it amusing that the product description informs me that assembly is required. Cos why else would you buy lego?
