Oh I hear ya! To be honest the first year was pretty easy as the youngest can't go anywhere but the pram lol! They just have to deal with it! I found it hard once DD2 started crawling/walking as she wouldn't just sit in the pram anymore. DD and DS after school activities have always been things that I can just drop them off at. As much as I would have liked to stay and watch Karate/gymnastics/ballet/swimming the logistics just made it really hard (not impossible).
But it can be done and when I look at other parents whos littlest ones have gotten used to sitting quietly and watching their siblings activities I do feel envious - DD2 would never do that now and I miss out on a lot, esp Karate as they are quite strict about little kids running around and making lots of noise.
Yes it's a pain getting in and out of the car all the time but I like being busy so it works quite well for us. It also gives the kids less time to get bored!
Goodluck and don't stress, by the time you youngest gets to the point where they are starting to be difficult, you'll already be so efficient at it!
