I believe it is more about the chemicals leeched from the plastic by microwaving than the effect on the milk - at least I thought so. I know some parents who have gone back to glass bottles for this reason.

I heat the water in the microwave then add the formula.
I have one of those container things where you hold the formula for when you go out so at night I put the required amounts scoops in so when she wakes for a night feed all I have to do is quickly heat the water in the microwave dump in the premeasured powder and shake. Easy and fast.
