If only we could harness it - it might provide a reliable source of cooking fuel for the next day's porridge
You would however, have to ensure the flavour wasn't affected

I think that the consistency makes a big difference. I like mine runny while some like it so thick you can stand the spoon upright in it.

I like it with banana, oat milk and honey, but I dont' eat it that much as I LOVE toast I think oats is much healthier though and if I could walk past the toaster I'd eat oats every day

I do prefer Carmens Oats. Yes more expensive, but Aussie owned, not GMO, just all natural goodness. If money is tight, then I grab Lowens.

I might have to give them a whirl, Astrid. I haven't seen them at the shops but the shop gets in just about anything you ask for so it's worth a shot.

Coles have Carmen's Oats, but Woolworths don't from what I can tell, even though they have the other Carmans cereals. Black box, normally on the top shelf.

    Count me in.

Has to be made with all cream milk and I serve it with full fat cream and some blueberry jam. Because I'm such a health nut.

I used to buy rolled oats. Now I'm a fan of the Be Natural 3 Grain sachets (oats, rye and barley). I often have two sachets and I don't think about food again for hours and hours and hours. If I just have toast or cereal, I'm a raving starving lunatic again by 11am.

Actually, all oats are GMOs. All cultivated crops are. Just because they were genetically modified over generations by selective breeding doesn't mean they haven't been genetically modified. (OK, this is just me being pedantic and geeky.)
