Krys - I understand your PoV with the memories of meat. One of my memories is my Grandad getting the chook ready for the Sunday roast - and teaching me to honour the chook and not cause her pain. And that's what I'd like to teach Pip. DH unfortunately is too removed from this life and won't honour a chook without pain

I LOVE that nutmeat from sanitarium! Its definately great in spag bol, I cook that about once a fortnight. and it freezes well too!

I also have a wonderful nut roast recipe if anyone's interested in it?
