We are a lesbian couple with one daughter, Sarah, from brisbane and we are looking to meet other couples like us. (with or without children). We never really did the scene thing so we dont have any gay friends and we would like it if sarah could meet other families like ours.

Sarah will be 3 at the end on June, so she is in the middle of the terrible two's

so we are butting heads alot.

We live in Acacia Ridge on the southside of brisbane.

How did you two meet?

we are sth west, congrats on your 8 years together. good luck with ttc baby number 2. i dont think your its so exciting, we cant wait to meet our little man, though i havent been as sick in the last week and my high blood pressure has settled down a bit so i am startinng to actually enjoy being pregnant, he has started to move alot now and my partner felt him the other night it was amazing

Hi Belinda

Glad to hear you are feeling better now.

I was very sick for the first 19 weeks - by then i was starting to show and was really enjoying pregnancy. At 28-29 weeks i got high blood pressure and started to swell and I was hospitalised and Sarah was born (via c section) at 30 weeks.
She was tiny but so perfect and now is a happy, active and loud 3 year old.

Unfortunatly we won't be at pride next weekend due to prior engagements but our email is jblee8278_bigpond.com (that email is connected to messenger so you can contact us on that if you are connected too.)

Have you picked out any names for your little man?
How far along are you?

So this is an old post thread but was hoping maybe some people were still around. My partner and i had a 4 year old daughter Phoebe and are hoping to use IVF to conceive a brother or sister for her next year and would love to find some friends and have a chat about parenting in a same sex relationship and even just have someone to talk about who has a similar dynamic

We are in north brisbane and really would love to mee some other same sex families...

Hi Mikinda,
I know this is an old post, my partner (31) and I (25) are a lesbian couple from the Gold coast and we will begin TTC this month. We are using Queensland fertility group at Pindara, they have been fantastic and the process has been smooth and simple.

We had considered using my partner's brother as the donor but decided to go with an unknown donor from the US as we felt it was a safer option legally, we are lucky enough not to have any objections from her family regarding the child not having a genetic link to her.

We will be TTC using IUI at the end of the month as I have no known fertility issues, the specialist is very confident and says I am a perfect candidate for the procedure. My partner and I are so excited and cant wait until we start trying I hope the next couple of weeks fly past.

Feel free to ask any questions I will try and answer what I can.

UHmm im confused... there is a rainbowkids one on in toowong this friday and a same sex parent one at newfarm on sunday lol im not sure which one you mentioned... i have had a mass influx of replies from other mums wanting to let me know about groups and catch up.... it is so nice to feel so welcome
