No pins and needles, just very very achy.

Haven't tried heat or anything yet, although did the dishes yesterday in nice hot water and no difference.

The pain shooting down to your wrist and lack of grip sounds like Carpal Tunnel to me. Do you get pins and needles in your hands or arms ZF?

When the pain 'shoots down your wrist' does it feel like an electric shock or is it the same pain?

the same ache, just bolting down to the wrist and in the joint...

1 writs is stuffed i broke it in yr 9 and am awaiting an operation to fix it (never set properly and pops out) but can't as each time they called i was either PG or BFing and with 2 tiny kidlets being in a cast for 8wks is not an option.... i thought i would have issues with my wrist but never in my hands!

You can take nurofen when you are breastfeeding (as long as you can take it when you arent - I think asthma contraindicates it)

Oh no ZF! Search for foods that help with arthritis. I can't think of any off the top of my head but remember seeing something about certain foods helping ease the swelling and pain on TV once.
