    Bedtime

I was wondering tonight as I put DD into bed early and contemplated an early night for myself, what time other mummies go to bed.

    So I'm curious...
What time do you go to bed? What influences the time you go to bed?
What time did you used to go to bed?

Pre DD I liked to be in bed at 9.30pm so I could read for a bit before going to sleep. During pg sometimes I was in bed asleep by 8.30. For ages after DD was born it was whenever then settled into 11.30pm which was wayyyyy to late as I was very overtired by then. Now I'm getting to sleep at about 10.30 which means I don't usually need to nap in the morning with DD anymore. Hopefully we can drop DD's last feed at supper and get to bed even earlier. FX!!

I used to go to bed at 8:30, up at 5:30 to get ready for work and start my day. (I need a lot
    of sleep unfortunately.)

Now I'm on maternity leave, baby asleep at 6-7, big kid asleep at 8, I work on my business on my laptop until midnight-1 uninterrupted, up at 6:30, do the school run, home for 2 hours of cleaning and home chores, nap at 11 until 2, get up, cook dinner, get big kid from school, home to hang out with them both until bedtime.

I go to bed some time between 11pm and 1am. Later if I've had to work late.

    I get up at 5.30am.

I've never needed much sleep, other than when I'm sick or pregnant.

I'm normally in bed by 8:30 or 9pm and asleep very soon after. I sometimes fall asleep on the couch watching TV before then. I am generally up from 5am. A sleep in here is 6am.

I have always been early to bed and early to rise.

Friends know not to call me after 8pm!

I go to bed somewhere between midnight and 2am lately...it's not the greatest bedtime but it's the only time the house is quiet and I get stuck into things. When DH is on nightshift I might go to bed when the kids do but still not sleep until much later.

I need to change this though! My eldest is up around 5am give or take half an hour.

The kids are asleep by 7pm, usually closer to 6 and us adults go to bed around 10. DP gets up with them both around 6 or 7am and I crawl out about an hour later lol. I'm not a morning person at all.

Before kids I was a huge night owl and would be up till 3am most nights.

I'm still needing a morning nap with DD so I've dropped the ball with housework a bit. There was a period of time when I got to bed earlier and managed without a nap and the house looked better for it. Now I get to sleep around 10.30 which is better than before but it's still hit and miss and never the same. I wake when DD wakes. Anytime from 5-7 or when DP's alarm goes at 6.30am.
