I am so embarrassed but I need some advice on hemarrhoids.. Even after 4 pregnancies I have never had one until a couple days ago.. at least I think it is a hemarroid..

It wasn't to bad until late yesterday and I couldn't even sleep properly last night Everytime I moved it felt like I was going to tear..

I am using Pawpaw cream at the moment. I do have some witch hazel as I read somewhere on here to try that..

I am seriously to embarrassed to go to the Drs.. Is there anything else I can do or get??

Please help lol.. Oh and it is an external one from all the googling I have been doing,.. It isn't coloured like grapes though if that helps. It is just a skin coloured lump..

Now off to go hide as I am mortified I have even told anyone

my friend got one during her third pregnancy and it went away once bub came along.,!
ask the chemist if you can use rectinol.. or something similar. something that is a bit numbing will be good. hope it gets better soon!

Not long after I posted I was desperate so I tried sudocream.. omg the relief.. it is still tender but I can walk without pain..

I finally needed to 'go to the toilet' and was terrified but I went and reapplied the sudocream and some pawpaw as it is a cleanser as well and voila almost painfree.. It isn't perfect but is a definate improvement..

Can I urge anyone with unusual bleeding to just get it checked by a Doctor. A friend has just had a nasty diagnosis after ignoring bleeding thinking it was haemerroids... she is only 37 too. I know it sounds alarmist but best to be sure. Go on - book the appointment now. xx

mine took awhile to go away on the outside after i had DD, for about 2 weeks i would get an ice cube in a freezer bag, but it in a sock and the tuck it in my pants outside of my undies and sit on it lol the relief was nice tho , i was using rectinol for awhille (didnt knmow anything about pawpaw then) next time i will try that.
i got mine when i was about 22 weeks pregnant when i got whooping cough and spent alot of time squating over the toilet coughing, they went away but came nack when i got to about 32-34 weeks i think coz of the pressure for bubs.
sad thing is once you got then, you got them. im really disappointed and also worrid about my next pregnancy.. will they be as bad? or worse? will they be worse after i have the next baby? am i at risk of prolapse or anything like that? is my pelvic floor weaker, or are hemeroids a different thing?

So will it keep reoccuring? I am unsure why I got one? I did go bike riding 4 days in a row last week so maybe that did it but other then that I can't seem to see anything else that might have caused it...
