I've had breast cancer so am very used to have breast exams - by both male and female dr's.
Yes they always check the nipple, but in my experience with a flat hand or finger tips, in a kind of pushing down motion, never rolling or rubbing between the fingers.
    A bit odd IMO!!!

If it made you feel uncomfortable and maybe went on a little too long I would definately see a different doctor and ask if what the other did was appropriate.

I have not ahd a breast exam so I dont know what is right or wrong.

When I have my yearly breast exam they alway check my nipple but it's the same as what Krisp said. Always with a flat hand and using their fingertips.

    thanks girls..

I just thought i'd check.. he's almost overstepped the line with a few verbal comments and I wasn't sure if it was my imagination or not whether he had done it again...

    Um yeah thats just odd.

I've had them heaps too because I had a lump after I had DS - and its always with flat fingertips pressing down in a circular motion - all over - including the nipple.

Um so yeah, report it. Cos that ain't normal.
