Bernice, how did the DVD go?! Don't feel bad about not having a gym session this week... just aim to get one in next week! Book it into your diary like any other appointment!

Lisa - how are you feeling today?

Daniella - how is your wrist hon?

Winter - how are you doing today?!

CQ - how are you feeling today? I am so amazed at you!!!! If I had bubbles before gym I'd fall and break my ankle or something!

Nettie - how are you feeling?

    Well girls... I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehehe. After much stuffing around by DD's Dad, I got to PT this afternoon (30 min later than originally planned - thank GOD I have a brilliant PT!). I was so tired in the car on my way but so glad I went! I had a BRILLIANT session! Boxing was great. Weights were great (increasing most weights as we went), worked my VMO (inner knee muscles), survived the look-a-like being there... my trainer was VERY impressed with my session and I had a GREAT time. I talked to him about my fears of injury which he said are totally understandable and he is pleased to hear I have. It was a very positive session and I am so so back!!! I am looking forward to my next session (minus the 100 questions I know I'm going to get about a certain something we discussed in my personal life - I don't even know how he got me to reveal it!!!! ), and looking forward to getting on my treadmill tomorrow! My knee is a little sorer after PT but I am confident it is simply because I am using muscles correctly... at least I hope that is what it is!

Thank you for putting up with my funk this week girls!

Awesome news MG!! I'm soooo glad to hear your funk has left the building!!! . I'm so glad to hear you are motivated yet again - hang onto your PT, he sounds awesome.

Thanks for asking MG - I've had another massage appt, it helped a bit, but I've got Attack and Pump in the morning (a back to back class) - which I daresay won't help the injury. He thinks I may need to go see a physio / acupuncturist - which I will plan to do early next week if pain persists. The injury really gets me down, but I keep on plodding along .

Didn't do the dancing - used my frustration and helplessness to really bring it for a gym session. Now I'm drenched in sweat, but feel SO much better.

I could get used to this!

I can recommend a good one!

I've done some weights tonight (see Winter - I said I would! ) and plan on doing a few stretches before bed (don't have a lot of floor space to lay down )

And MG!! Soo glad for you! You make me feel motivated!

GOOOOOOOOOooooooooo Sunny!!! Exercise certainly is addictive!! It's not just about weight management for me, if I dont exercise I become slow & gluggy & I stop thinking clearly. And I can't be bothered doing anything so everything slides. Whereas if I'm exercising regularly, I find I have energy to do lots of things and feel more engaged in my life. I am THRILLED that you're dripping with sweat and LOVIN' IT!!!

YAYAYAYYAYYAYA!!!! MG is BACK! That's fantastic news hun! I am convinced that exercise is 90% effort in getting out the door to do it and then 10% actually doing it. I feel in your post how much better you are feeling.

Rest up Leesa, don't push too hard. You know what you're doing I know, but you are allowed to take it easy. Superwoman has off days too...

CQ - What's the go for you this w'end? More Pump training?

    Netttie
, where are you Nettie? I need to see your report card....

AFM - I gave it everything I had today. I was such a great session. Have I told you I love my gym? And I weighed myself today and I'm down to 60kg. So 3 kgs since I started moving again!

Ok this post has been sitting almost finished for a couple of hours - sorry! Got tied up! I'll post it anyway, even though I'm sure some of you have checked in.

Woohoo Winter!! 3kgs down, bet you're feeling great!

CQ - How on earth do you find time for so much gym work with everything else?! I have no kids and no job, and I still don't have any time! You go girl!

Just finished another session - its at the right intensity now, so I really feel like I'm pushing it, but I'm JUST able to do it, which is great. I'm amazed by this program, I've done 3 sessions now, and it focuses on a different area each time, brilliant!

I think i'm really lucky...I love being at the gym, the kids love the child care, I have a lot of friends there so really it's where I go to hangout. I think I posted the other day that I went there and watched part of a movie in the CC then chatted to friends for about an hour!

This morning I did Combat/Pump then drove to another gym and went and sat by the pool for a big catch up with my friend, it was awesome!

yep tomorrow have my last day of Pump training then teaching my first Pump class the next day lol!

Wooohooooo for you Winter love your work chickadee!!

I too did what I could this morning. In Attack I explained to the class that I would be doing mostly low impact, which suited a few older participants fine, of course I got carried away every now and then and was quite shocked when I looked at my heart rate monitor!! SEE - anyone can do Attack low impact and still burn ooodles of calories . I burn't 544 just from Attack alone (usually at home I'd burn about 560 - so not bad considering I was going low impact and talking at the same time). Pump was great, class was a bit - um, mundane ish - the people, um, lets say they were REALLY focussed lol!! I told them they'd burn more calories if they smiled - and they smiled lol! So all up I burn't 1010 calories just from the classes, I'm still burning them now two hours on - but I don't count those .

I'm down to 63.6 kgs now!! I have lost 30 kgs since having Blake exactly now .

Awesome work Berenice - I love your work hun! I describe it as working towards the heart being uncomfortable, is that how you felt?

Yep, thats it Leesa - I'm on the verge of not being able to do it, I think it's sheer willpower that gets me through the last part!

Well thats exactly where you should be! So for you.

Do you wear a heart rate monitor - one that counts the burn't calories for you?

Bernice! I LOVE that feeling too - awesome isn't it?! I usually only get it at home though PT drags me back to "safe" level in the gym (to prevent injuries ) Keep up the good work!

Winter *wolf whistles* HOT MAMMA! Keep up the great work hon! I'm so with you on the exercise = clarity! I feel so much more Zenned when I exercise! And I am able to handle stress better!

Nettie - good on you for doing weights hon! Keep up the great work!!!

Lisa - I was expecting you to say you'd told the class you'd do low impact and then couldn't help yourself and did high impact! How are you feeling now? Keep stretching! I am a BIG believer in stretching!!!!

AFM - well, I pulled up a little sore this morning. My back and hip flexor haven't been this sore for a long time. And it wasn't good sore. I tried my stretches but didn't work (because of my hypermobility) so I resorted to my Mobic (anti-inflammatory) and Panadol which has worked. I'm feeling ok now. AND I found a stretch to fix my arm which is great! I am planning to get on the treadmill tonight and do some home rehab stuff. I woke this morning and the air was crisp and fresh with sun shining... I LOVE days like this! (well, it's warmed up which I don't like - I like the coolness!) and I saw someone running and so wished it were me!!!! But I'm not ready to take the risk yet...

    Have a great day girls!!!!

It is a great feeling isn't it MG - blue clear skies, birds singing - ahhh, this is the life . There were a few times where I would do high impact in one direction and low impact in the opposite direction. I couldn't do high impact for my life though, on the three ocassions when I did the class could see my grit of pain on my face lol!!

I hope that back and hip flexor of yours loosens up for you soon hun! Does the anti inflamatory cream give instant relief for you? Just curious as I am thinking i may need that. Have you tried acupuntcure (well, not you doing it, but having it done to you ) with any of your injuries - I'm thinking about giving it a shot. Any feedback?

Wrist is all good. I kept the bandage on all day Thurs and until the evening last night, now it seems to be ok.

Great news Danni! Take a bandage or brace with you next boxing class as you may find you need it when you punch for a few weeks - it will just give you a bit more support.

Lisa - ooo I know that feeling. D watches my face intently to see if it hurts. Mobic is a prescription anti-inflammatory and is a tablet. It is one of the more gentle ones for your tummy. I've tried topical anti inflamms in the past ) so things like neurofen gel and voltaren gel; I find they're really only good for superficial and mild injuries. I was on oral Voltaren for a long time (too long) which DID help... but I was also taking 150mg a day (2 tablets three times a day). Ideally you should only need 1 tablet once or twice a day. At first one tablet was working well for me but as my injuries progressed - the tablets became less effective. Mobic works a little differently and, as I said, is much gentler on the body. When I was on voltaren, I'd get bad nausea, heart burn, heart palpitations, HORRID AF (really heavy and clotty). I've not had any issues in the 2 months I've been on mobic (which I'm on once a day and only take it when I really need it).

I've not had accupuncture - it's not something I feel I could do. For a nurse, I'm chicken But I have a friend who gets it done regularly and loves it (although they don't have it for injury reasons). I'm a HUGE fan of Osteopaths, massage, and physio. My trainer recently had cupping done for the first time and reported it was crap - I told him I could have saved him some money I certainly advocate people try different things to see what works... so long as you see someone who is accredited in the field they practice. But as soon as it feels like it hurts or is making it worse... STOP. Walk away. Nothing is worth aggrevating an injury.

It is an awesome feeling (minus my injury lol) - and I know what you mean about the goal. A few days ago I was stoked to be under 65kg - and I told DH 'I don't care about my weight now, as long as its under 65kg' - then I saw the number 64 on the scales, and again I said 'as long as the number is under 64 kg - then I don't care..'. Today the number is 63 lol......
