raaarrrrrghh!! *makes everyone jump*
I've been lurking and keep meaning to post, then I realised it's been yonks since I ACTUALLY posted in here. But I've been reading!
Kirsten - congrats on 12 weeks that's awesome! As for ironing cot sheets omg that's too funny! Have to say I never got to that stage. I was so sorry to read about your grandad sounds like he was very special.
Dr. Tal - oooh look at your ticker! Can I be you and be that close already? (impatient much? ). Btw I told my DH what your DH said and he was cracking up and totally agreed with your DH. Men huh! I think what you did makes perfect sense.
Cherished - sending you non-ouchy back vibes (and admiring your ticker too - ok so they're all just gorgeous alright?). As for wishing the nesting had kicked in earlier... I went through the same thing with both my PGs... atm I'm sitting here with NOTHING done and I swore I'd do it all in 2nd tri while I felt good. Oh yeah now I remember the problem, I haven't felt good yet! But honestly, you'll do it when you can, and even if you don't - it doesn't matter, all bubby needs is you, milk and nappies really! Oh and I loved the Dr Tal song... tehehe made me giggle.
AFM hmm i'll do the quick one. have been trying to eat better... bit variable. I made Audax's soup and Cherished's cookies - thanks ladies! I also had a cold for 5 weeks ended up on AB's, then I got better, so DS got croup, then as soon as he started getting better, I got sick again! Plus discovered my ferritin is super low and probably not helping me feel ok either. It's insane. Soooooo... I'm starting mat leave next TUESDAY! (I only work 2 days/week). But I'm still really excited. Have worked out that apart from teh first few weeks, I've only had 2 weeks in this PG where I've felt ok and haven't had m/s, gastro or a bug of some sort. Hopefully not working will help me to slow down, feel better and get some things done at home that I really, really need to (like DH's bookkeeping ). Anyway, I've topped off my great run with nearly fainting on the train & train platform today and getting wheelchaired off the frickin' platform, verrrrrrry embarrassing. Work have been totally lovely though, I think they figured if they saw me it was a bonus! Plus I'd planned to go at 29-30 weeks anyway, so they were quite happy to move it up. Plus i've got a dodgy hip/sacroiliac joint which is limiting what I'm doing (online shopping here I go) AND I've got my GD test in the next week or so, and i'm soooooo nervous (was GD + injecting insulin last time) so pls pls pls send me the lucky good not-getting-GD vibes.
Hope everyone else is doing well! Am off to watch masterchef and try not to eat too much chocolate!
